Stayed Jul 30, 2025Overall, we had a nice stay. The house was as pictured and nicely renovated. We fit our family of five but it did feel a little cramped, especially with only 4 seats at the table and only four beach towels provided. The windows and watching the deer was the best part. I knew from my research in advance that pool access was not included, so I factored the 125/week additional into the cost. However, beach access was confusing - the rental agency told us we could NOT park at the Sea Pines Beach Club, that we would have to take the trolley there. The listing implied we could park there, and luckily, the parking attendants were perfectly fine with our Deer Island Pass to park there. That would have been a deal breaker if I had to lug beach stuff for five people on a trolley. We did appreciate having free beach chairs and umbrellas to use. An upgrade to the coffee maker would be appreciated - it was literally the cheapest one you can buy (less than 10) - something that holds more than 6 cups would be nice. I would stay again with adults, but with a family trying to go to a pool and beach, I'd pick somewhere more convenient.

Stayed Aug 14, 2024I am obsessed with these tree houses and always have because of all the large windows. It feels like your outside even though you are inside. So over the years, I have stayed at many tree houses including the ones at Night Heron. I am extremely picky, so this is going to be detailed. This was by far the nicest and best designed tree house I have ever stayed at! There is no spiral staircase going to the lower level which makes the main floor much more spacious and cohesive. The decor is bright, cheerful and tasteful. It isn't exactly like the pictures but still cute. Everything was immaculately clean! Cook wear was new. Towels were sparkly white and not as thick so they can dry faster. Huge plus was that they had quality mattresses and I didn't wake up in pain as I have a bad back, quality linens as well. Lots of porch therapy spots! The location is super peaceful with non of the traffic that you experience on other parts of the island. The only downfall was that the other tree houses were closer by and there was just a sliver of a marsh view. The most endearing and magical part of our stay were all the deer! There were two female deer that were super tame and would lick you and want to be cuddled. I felt like snow white! We can't wait to come back and miss it already!
