Sisters, Oregon
Come and enjoy our cozy cabin nestled in the Ponderosa pines in Tollgate, 2 miles west of Sisters, for a peaceful relaxing retreat where you can enjoy many year-round recreational activities.
Our house, Sisters and our Tollgate Community is a very friendly place for families, couples, and single people. Amenities like a swimming pool (seasonal), tennis court, and bike and walking paths await you.
TV entertainment includes cable, Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon prime so you can cozy up with your favorite tv show.
This unique architecturally designed house is situated on half acre lot, surrounded by beautiful Ponderosa pine trees and backs up to a Nature Conservancy, then forest land for privacy. There is a drive-through carport and covered entry as you enter the two-level home.
The house is a split-level design. When you enter you can go upstairs to access the living areas or downstairs for bedrooms and bathroom. The upper level has an open dining/living area with a wood stove, kitchen, vaulted wood ceiling, cathedral windows, sun room, and a large deck with comfortable furniture. There is a sofa and chair in the living room (new spring 2020). The kitchen table seats 4 and there are 3 bar stools in the sun room facing the kitchen.
The lower level has 2 bedrooms each with queen-sized beds and a bathroom. There are dual-controlled heated mattress pads in each of the bedrooms to keep you cozy warm during the cold months. An additional ground level deck as you enter the home with comfortable furniture is nice for morning coffee. There is a gas barbecue available for spring, summer and fall use. Stacked firewood is on-site for the wood stove in the living room. The house has a new (2017) mini-split heating and cooling system upstairs. This will keep you cool in the summer months and warm in the winter months. The downstairs bedrooms have baseboard heaters.
The western style town of Sisters is 2 miles away, which offers many small shops, restaurants and a movie theater.
There are miles of mountain biking and hiking trails that go through the scenic Deschutes National Forest (just beyond your back yard). There is a walking/biking trail one block from the cabin that goes to Sisters. The trail is about one mile long to reach Sisters high school.
In the winter months, skiers can choose to drive 20 minutes to family-friendly Hoodoo, or travel one hour to world-class Mt. Bachelor. The sno-park offers tubing, snowmobile rides, snowshoeing, etc.

Please note all windows have been updated with new Milgard windows and photos will be updated as soon as the weather allows. The curved-glass window has been replaced with one picture window and 2 skylights so stargazing is still possible in the sunroom.
This gem of a place was very clean and cozy, amoung gorgeous Pines. It was perfect base camp to shopping, dining and hiking. Owners were very polite and accomodating. Highly Recommend!
We had a great stay at this cabin and certainly plan to be back. Everything was as described, and the location is fantastic. What stood out about this cabin is how clean and well cared for it is. We have stayed in many vacation homes and my wife and I both agreed that it was the cleanest. They have done a great job of maintaining it. We felt right at home. Thank you!
It was very nice and cozy. The owners were super kind to me even though I had a mix up on the billing. It was a unique place
Great location in a very quiet neighborhood with nothing but forest in back. The cabin was clean and had everything needed for a great stay.
What a perfect house in a lovely community. We flew into Portland from Virginia and had a nice drive over to Sisters and our rental. The directions to get into the house were perfect and we quickly settled in. The kitchen is very well appointed and every required utensil was at the ready. We truly appreciated the Keurig for our morning coffee routine. This trip it was myself, husband and our son. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor along with laundry. After we decided on who was getting which room we took turns hitting the shower and the sat out on upper deck to do some star-gazing. We did notice the hammock and seating on the lower deck. We had an early morning ahead of us and hit the beds, super comfy beds. In the evenings, after a nice long hike my husband would fire up the grill and we enjoyed steak, burgers and chicken. Everything, except smoke from the wildfires was wonderful. Due to its proximaty Sisters we werew able to get in 7 hikes in 6 days. We cant wait for an opportunity to come back to Sisters and explore even more. You better believe we will stay here again! Agata Griffis
All the amenities of home. Our stay was perfect!
Things were great and just as published
The cabin was lovely and well equipped. The area is charming. We were in town for a wedding and the location was a few minutes from the venue and the recommendations for things to do in the area were great. I would stay again but for a longer period of time and do more exploring.
Nice house in the very quiet Tollgate subdivision about 2 miles west of Sisters. As noted, you enter between the two floors. The only bathroom is downstairs, which could be a problem for some. It was fine with us. The kitchen is small, but very well stocked with everything you will need. Two nice recliners in the original dining area is a great spot to see deer. The main living area has an L-shaped couch and a dining table that seats 4. The downstairs is very compact: two bedrooms, a nice sized bath room and a large laundry closet. The bed was very comfortable. We would definitely rent this home again.
This is not a fancy place. But it is in a good location and it is clean. It had what we needed. The price was right. We like the location because it is between Sisters and where we camp (near Camp Sherman). I also like walking in the morning and it is a safe neighborhood.
Great home to stay at with family. Easy walk to great restaurants and bars.
Wonderful private wooded home near Sisters, Oregon. The home had everything we needed for a delightful stay. We would definitely stay there again.
Nice cozy cabin! The kids loved having tons of space to run around and explore the Tollgate property. The cabin had all the creature comforts (AC, cable, full kitchen) to feel like we were getting away without roughing it.
This was our second stay and it couldn't be better. This home is comfortable, well kept, and inviting. My kids love hanging in the sunroom and we love how close it is to all the activities we want to do!
We came to Sisters, Oregon to celebrate my daughter's 25th birthday. We played on the slopes at Hoodoo. This was a clean and comfortable home in a quiet development and only 2 miles to town. We will diffenately keep this home on our favorites list.
Great little place nestled in the woods, but not so far from town that you feel isolated. Enough space for a family of four, and a great view of the ponderosa pines!
Loved the cabin. Overall great stay with my mother.
We were interested in the Camp Sherman area and hiking Black Butte, which made this property perfect and close to Sisters. Price was right also.
This was our second stay in this lovely home just outside downtown Sisters. Every morning we spent out on the deck, drinking our morning coffee and listening to the birds in the pines. Fantastically maintained house, comfy beds, and a well-stocked kitchen. Truly a home away from home! We shall return!
Loved the location of this property. We felt like we were in the woods and secluded. Close to everything we wanted to do as well. We took our paddleboard to Suttle Lake, which is a short drive from the house. Sisters has a very charming downtown and lots of great places to visit and eat. We highly recommend this property.
Great location, easy access for hiking, views, and small town of Sisters. Peaceful property, well equipped and comfortable.
A very comfortable cabin in a quiet residential neighborhood. Although there were many houses the layout made you feel like you were in the woods. Very convenient to travel into Sisters in only a few minutes. The house was immaculate and very well appointed. Good cooking pans and nice eating area. We enjoyed the deck in the evening. We will return in the future.
Lovely cabin, well kept and welcoming. Split level, stairs up and down, not such a good choice for two old ladies with bad knees! Despite the steps, we had a wonderful time, old friends reconnecting post-pandemic.
