Fort William, Scotland
Corran Lighthouse Lodge is a detached house with a working lighthouse in the garden! (albeit with no fog horn). The perfect holiday home for two families or groups of friends. It is ideally situated to explore the unspoilt Ardnamurchan peninsula with its abundance of wildlife, stunning scenery and endless walking opportunities. On the other side of Loche Linnhe, accessed via the Corran ferry is the enchanting area of Lochaber with Fort William and the Nevis mountain range and the mystical Glencoe area. A large elegant lounge is with a wood burning stove provides a warm and comfortable place to relax after a day of exploring. The country style kitchen with Aga is adjoined by a spacious dining room which seats 10. All bedrooms are en-suite and the beds can be configured as either double or twins. Outside the Lodge is enclosed by a walled garden with elevated decking area with views down the Loch and there is direct access to the beach, which provides many hours of entertainment for children. Adjacent is another walled garden with a large grassy area for outdoor games. There is barbecue and summer patio furniture.
We stayed here for a family holiday. Really happy with the house - and it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
Absolutely amazing views and scenery right from the back garden. We saw seals and porpoise, went for walks, took bikes up through the forest trails, sampled the beer at the local micro-brewery, went paddle boarding and more. It's an excellent base to explore a beautiful area with so much to offer. The house is so comfortable and well-equipped. Would love to go back again.
I wish we could have stayed longer. Supremely comfortable this house was set up fabulously for a large family party, with access to the shore for beachcombing and swimming, outdoor space with a lawn for games, and a formal garden for enjoyment. Probably the most comfortable sofas I have ever encountered. The description on website doesnt do this place justice - we loved it!
We felt the advertising underplayed the simple beauty of this holiday home. A massive thanks to Fiona, the team and to the local people who made us feel so welcome in these trying times. Of course, the magnificent weather we experienced was the icing on the cake.
From the moment we saw the property from the ferry we knew it was special. The inside was beautiful and very comfortable with 5 en suite bedrooms and an Aga. The outside stole the show though, amazing outside space with raised decking and breathtaking views. We even managed to get good weather overall which meant we could fully enjoy the beach and the loch. Would recommend and would hope to visit again.
Great
We had a wet 2 weeks and it was a joy to be able to come back to such a warm and comfortable house; there was always hot water and room for us all to unwind. There was plenty of room and we filled it with family and friends. Many thanks
