Ultimate Beach Getaway in Beautiful Home with pool!

The house was great, location perfect, hosts great! Having the pool heated option was a life saver on the chilly mornings! The road is low usage in Sept so our 4 year old grandson was able to ride his bike with super vision, with very few cars. The beach is a brief 2 block walk away. Our family had a great time together!

Great property! Nice quiet neighborhood with just a short walk to the beach. We loved swimming in the pooI. I enjoyed drinking coffee each morning on the screened-in porch. The beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately there was an issue with the refrigerator making it unusable during our stay, but the owner responded immediately to the situation. They were fantastic and worked so hard to try to remedy the problem. They had a mini fridge delivered quickly so we were able to keep a small amount of groceries in it during the week which was a life saver. I am so grateful for how responsive and helpful the owner was. We enjoyed our vacation here. I recommend this property.

House location was perfect. Communication was easy. Was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the place. Windows, fans and common was very dusty. There was personal items left from previous people under the beds. Lastly, we were provided with 2 rolls of toilet paper total for 1 week with 8 people and there was no hand soap in the kitchen (bottle was empty).

House was great. The kids absolutely loved the pool. Having to put the sheets on the bed was a surprise and not well documented. I would suggest a new coffee pot with a shut off timer. One of the doors to the screen porch doesn’t latch in place without using the deadbolt. Not having propane in the grill tank was a bit aggravating. Otherwise it was a great vacation experience.

We had an amazing time at this home in Oak Island. We love the location and the convenience of the island with the golfcart. The house was great with the pool. The best of both worlds.

Beautiful home, well maintained and most well stocked with kitchen cookware/gadgets from any of the homes we’ve stayed in! The private pool and outside lounging area was our favorite feature! Absolutely loved our stay here!

Great host!! House was very comfortable and well equipped. Easy access to the beach, great area for bicycling as well. The whole process was perfect from check-in to check-out. We will definitely be back again.

This home is exceptional in all ways. It was the perfect spot for our family to spend a week together at the beach. The bedrooms are a nice size, the common space is open and provided room for adults, a toddler and a one year old to enjoy each other. The kitchen had everything (and then some) we needed to cook in. The pool gave us a beach alternative. The house was very clean and well maintained. We have rented from VRBO many times; this house stands out! We already are planning to return to this property!

I was not going to leave this review on VRBO, but I reached out to the owner and never received a response. Upon arrival, I found blood stains on one of the comforters. I reached out to one of the owners and she said she thought she had got it all out and told me where to find another comforter. She asked if there was anything else and I mentioned one of the toilets was dirty and sent pics. She said she and her girlfriends stayed and had not noticed that. I also sent a picture of the freezer area, but got no further response. The 2nd day, I was sitting in the hammock swing and it came down on me. The bar hit my head hard. I reached out to the owner who said he was sorry and he wasn't sure why it was up, but asked if everything else was going okay. I ended up being seen for my head upon my return and mentioned this in my text to the owner, but I got no response. Additionally, there is mold on the ceiling in one bathroom. The layout is good and the pool area is nice, but I would not recommend due to the lack of care and communication given my situation. My 10 year old could have been the one in the swing and would have gotten hurt worse than I did.

We love staying on the marsh side of Long Beach. This rental was perfect - walking distance to the beach and 5 minute drive to Publix. Great neighborhood - very quiet & good cycling. Home was very clean and well appointed with comfortable beds in all 4 bedrooms. The bedroom / bathroom layout was perfect to provide privacy for two couples. The outdoor area is spacious with heated pool and gas grill, with lots of seating areas for eating, and sunning. Enjoyed the screened porch for El fresco dining. Hosts were easy to communicate with throughout our stay.

We had a great time. The host were very easy to work with. I had a back to back stay here and they were awesome about arrangements for me to stay during cleaning time.

Location can’t be beat with short walk to the beach. Loved the private pool and covered area but pool is a little on the small side. Worked well for us with little kids. Loved that all living spaces were all on same floor which was ideal for little kids. House could benefit from a deep clean inside and out. Overall a great property and we enjoyed ourselves.

The house was really nice. Very clean, nice pool. Short walk to the beach. It worked well for a multi generational vacation. Oak island is a relaxing family oriented place. Thank you!

If I could give 10 stars I would. What an awesome house. It had a great flow with the kitchen and living room. We can talk to each other no matter where we were In The house. It was perfect for our family even though it only had two bathrooms. We thought it would be a problem but it def wasn’t. The outside shower helped and was a perfect addition. We used the pool everyday. The outside area was a great place to come together and enjoy each others company and cool off from the hot sun. We will be back again!

The house is spacious, clean, and well equipped. It’s just a short walk to the beach, and when we had enough beach we loved the swimming pool on the property. There was one small issue where the water pressure from the kitchen faucet was reduced to a trickle. One call to the owner and they had someone out immediately to fix it. We all enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house and look forward to returning.

This beach house is layed out prefect for family vacations, with a large common area ( kitchen/family), and the four bedrooms and two bathrooms that run off it. This makes it perfect for putting the young ones to bed and not worrying about any noise waking them up. The pool is just right for relaxing in the evenings after spending all day on the beach. The small ones had a blast swimming in the pool. It’s a short walk of about 5 minutes to the uncrowned beach. Will definitely being staying here again.

The house was great and the pool was wonderful! The house could use a little maintenance and bug control. But overall I would stay here again and reccomend it to others

Me and my family took our first vacation together in years and we couldn't have been happier with the property! It was a perfect location and perfect vacation!
