Mere words were never designed to adequately convey the quality of our experience in this amazing house; it was literally beyond description. Words are all I have here, though, so I'll give a few sentences a try: The house is ideally situated; as the last house on a country road, it provides unsurpassed views of the surrounding Umbrian countryside. The immediate grounds are immaculately kept, with neatly trimmed foliage meeting the eye in all directions. Both the interior and exterior of the house have been expertly restored and augmented by modern solutions to old problems, while retaining the charm of the original. Every part of the interior was spotless upon our arrival, and every convenience was supplied as part of the overall package, with, for example, a wider choice of utensils/plates/glasses/cups/bowls/etc/etc in the kitchen than is usual or even necessary for the support of the total number of guests the house can accommodate. Every bedroom is beautifully and consciously decorated, right down to a characteristic decorative hat in the unique style of the room adorning the top of each room's armoire. Rosella is the ideal hostess; the warmth of her greeting upon your arrival immediately makes you feel at home. She answers all your inquiries, is available to make suggestions for where to find what you need in the surrounding villages, and takes pleasure in ensuring you have the best possible experience of her house. I'm sure this short review reads like overstated ad copy, but I can't describe our experience in lesser superlatives. It was that marvelous. (My only reservation about writing such an effusive review is the potential of the ensuing popularity of this property locking us out of returning to it, but it will happen anyway; ours will not be the last ideal experience provided by this remarkable house and proprietor.)
