I planned to have room for all family but as life goes, family came and went all weekend. It was perfect.?
The house is spacious and beautiful- our kids loved the hot tub and play room downstairs. The kitchen is gorgeous and has some top notch appliances- we enjoyed cooking our meals and hanging out on the amazing spacious deck, overlooking the trees and beautiful creek. We would definitely stay there again! Grace was very communicative and answered all of my questions. We really enjoyed our stay.
This house was very accomodating for our family. We really loved the main room that opens up to the large and very functional kitchen with high quality appliances. Great stove for cooking on too! Also, the beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was fantastic after a day of skiing! Our host, Lynn, was super helpful and responsive with a couple of questions that we had. We definitely, recommend this house!
We really liked this house. Nice and spacious, comfy beds. Kids loved the hot tub and grounds to run around. Host was very responsive. My only concern was the bonus room has a separate outdoor entrance and that was not clear to me from the listing. Would recommend this for any season for a great trip to the mountains!
We spent a long 4 days in the storms here with our son's 16th birthday crew going snowboarding. It was only 20 miles from Dodge Ridge and a perfect spot to entertain a big group! Plenty of sleeping area, the bonus room below the deck is a neat private area for 4 people and a full bathroom, a great bunk for kids/teens ! We loved the large, fancy kitchen and ameneties, especially the tv's and power while we hunkered down in the various storms. The kids played in the yard and enjoyed the hot tub, especially after a long day at the slopes. We'd definitely come back. Lin was the property manager who was very helpful and accomidating. Thank you again!
Lynn was such a good host trying to make the best of some very uncomfortable situations. I tried so hard to be positive and not let them get to me but my family was very upset. We have stayed annually at many cabins in the Twain Harte area with 1 or no complications many times. We got through the TV frustrations, every TV functions differently, wrong remotes and low or dead batteries. If my husband had not plunged out the disgusting sewage from bonus room tub, what would’ve happened? We were asked not to use the toilets and the plumber didn’t get there till late next day. Bonus room was no longer fully functional with smell and no use of shower or toilet. Electricity going out, no water for half a day not knowing when it would be back on was added to an already stressful stay then the last straw was the alarm system would not stop beeping we reset it continuously just to have it start beeping again. One of my sons n his wife had to leave because of this and my daughter and her husband stayed in their room for the rest of their stay. I’m sorry but because of what was supposed to be an annual family weekend of relaxation and fun turned out to be an expensive waste of time in my families opinion, I requested a refund and at least receive half back. Sadly we will not be staying there again =(
Sheets and towels not washed and beds not made upstairs so we had to wash everything AND make beds. Not dusted, vacuumed and the bathrooms were dirty too. Dirty in drawers and cupboards as well as the dressers where we wanted to put our clothes. Not neat, tidy, or clean. Downstairs bedroom sheets were dirty on the bed, not cleaned, no smoke alarm and exposed electrical outlets and broken shower head in dirty bathroom. Lynn had a different excuse for each of us when we communicated about the condition of the place, the cleaners, the water pressure, not up to code, dead tree in back, and a safety issue with the fire pit on the deck that one of us tripped on and broke bones in her foot. The total lack of professionalism and the constant deflection of responsibility has not been pleasant to deal with. The responses when I asked for a refund were unacceptable and unreasonable. The friend who booked the trip is now having to deal with an insurance company on top of getting a refund so that will make us whole, not the owner.
Where do I start.... the communication with the manager was great. All questions and concerns were addressed in a timely manner. House was spectacular, clean, impeccably decorated, mattresses were comfy, and we found most everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. Will definitely rent it in the future. Thank you!
Nice property, pretty quiet and removed from neighbors, although the back porch is facing the highway so you can hear the traffic. It was clean and comfortable, we were six, one couple and four singles, so we thought that we could use the fourth bedroom, but turned out to be a room in the basement meant for children...supposedly, because the room was off limits. We managed by having 3 sleep in the bedroom with bunk beds. Make sure that you check in advance with the manager if you need to use a fourth bedroom. Otherwise we enjoyed the place with its retro-mountain cabin decor, the stuffed animals in the living room are a humorous note, but that may not be for everyone.
We had a good stay and vacation.
