We attended a family wedding in Deep River, just a few miles away. The house was very clean and comfortable for the 6 of us. Lawrence was available to answer any questions or needs ( we had no problems at all) . We enjoyed the house very much!
Wonderful host and terrific venue. We hope to go back one of these days!
Very quaint!
The property is lovely. The period decorations and artwork were a nice touch. The tile was beautiful and everyone loved the rain shower. Reading on the piazza was a favorite activity. The kitchen was well-equipped amd we cooked delicious meals there. Everything was clean and comfortable. The thick walls managed to keep the heat out for the first 2 days of our trip, but it was during the heat wave so it was quite warm for the remainder of the stay. The dehumidifiers helped some but not fully. The ability to close the kitchen away from the rest of the house was essential on the hot days. The grounds were beautiful and our dog loved exploring them and watching the deer and bunnies. The teenagers appreciated the great wifi! There was something for everyone and we would absolutely stay again.
This property is amazing. You wake up and can easily believe you have woken in Italy. The house is unbelievably beautiful, is situated on peaceful gardens and yards, and is a very short drive from a wonderful downtown with quaint shops and restaurants. The Gillette castle is also a very short ways away. This was an incredible vacation and I highly recommend this property!
We had a lovely extended weekend at this beautiful historic home. Laurence welcomed us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the home and its history. The combination of good weather and the amazing property on which the home is situated, was the perfect setting for morning coffees and memorable dinners on the piazza. The location lends itself to many opportunities to explore towns, parks, historic sites, etc. Or staying local, Chester’s Main Street is peppered with quaint shops and restaurants, just a short walk from the property. We appreciated the attention to detail in the home and the extra touches included treats for our dog, chocolates and some breakfast items. We look forward to returning to Villa Bella Vista!
