The Tulpen house Enkhuizen. A former 16th century (!!) monumental mansion (national monument), in the middle of the historic, old center of Enhuizen. The building was completely renovated at the end of 2018, with attention to authentic details. Beautifully and centrally located in the old town and overlooking the harbor and the most beautiful buildings and streets of Enkhuizen. 100% atmosphere inside and out! The entire Mansion (for 6 guests) is entirely at your disposal. 100% privacy! 3 bedrooms, 6 comfortable beds, 2 of which are king-size beds, 2 bathrooms, fireplace, WIFI, cable TV, a well-equipped kitchen and private garden. 100% comfort!

You stay in a unique and authentic ambiance. A historic, intimate atmosphere while nothing is missing in luxury, space and comfort.

Within walking distance: The ports, canals, IJsselmeer, (water) sports, monuments, museums, restaurants, walking and shopping area, nature and culture. From Enkhuizen you can easily reach Amsterdam both by train and by car.

@ The living room
The living room radiates the atmosphere of the past but with the comfort of today (cable TV, wifi, underfloor heating and fireplace). Here is the comfortable seating area and the attractive dining room for 6 people (in the former shop).

@ The kitchen
The attractive open kitchen is well equipped with all desired cooking utensils. You will also find many extras; spacious electric oven, 5 burner gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, American fridge (ice water and ice maker), freezer, washing machine and dryer. In the kitchen you can prepare and serve a multi-course dinner for 6 guests without any problems. We have already provided coffee and tea.

@ The 3 Bedrooms
There are 2 full-sized bedrooms on the 2nd floor and 1 bedroom with private bathroom on the 3rd floor, accessible via authentic, somewhat steep wooden stairs. The 3 bedrooms are for 2 people per bedroom. 2 rooms are equipped with king-size beds (1 bed is even 2.20 m long), and 1 room has 2 single beds. All beds have good mattresses and are attractively furnished. Every bedroom has a phenomenal view :-). The beds are already made. You do not have to bring bed linen.

@ The 2 Bathrooms
The house has 3 toilets (on each floor) and 2 bathrooms. You have access to a bathtub and a walk-in shower. You do not need to bring towels or washcloths, this is provided.

@ the City Garden
You can enjoy the sun in your own city garden and patio, completely privately. Garden furniture and garden cushions are available.

@ Reception
You will be personally welcomed by us, gladly show you around the monumental house and of course we will resolve all inconveniences immediately. The entire house is at your disposal, there are no other guests, absolute privacy!

We do not live in the city ourselves, but in a small village nearby. Normally you will see us all upon receipt and if desired upon departure.

We would like to know what time you expect to arrive, so that we can hand over the key to you personally in the house. Are you strongly leaving or arriving in the middle of the night No problem!! You will then receive the code from the key safe, so that you can always enter the house.

I helped a friend book this for herself and her 5 daughters. For the daughters, it was their first time to The Netherlands and thats why i wanted them to stay in Enkhuizen. It is the most beautiful town! When they arrived in the house, rhey sent me a message and said - wow!!!! Tulpenhuis is the perfect place for a family or small group of friends. Everything about it was beautiful and they loved stepping out the door ro enjoy supper on the terrace. A pleasure to deal wirh the hosts for check in instructions! Highly recommended!

We were 3 adults and a baby. Loved the well equipped house. Had everything we needed and more. The host greeted us on arrival and responded quickly to any concerns during our stay. Very quaint and authentic town with all the stores you need.

Fantastic location, charming , very comfortable house with very well equipped kitchen. Much amusement navigating very steep stairs, but fine if you come down backwards! Would most certainly come back again.

Beautiful historic home in the heart of Enkhuizen. We enjoyed our stay and our host was very kind and very responsive to texts and emails. The stairs going to the top floors are very steep but that did not bother us at all. Just be aware if you have tiny children or elderly family with you. Overall it’s a charming home with so many amenities and we would definitely stay here again!

The host was extremely kind and accomodating, the house is in a quiet, charming part of a quiet, charming town. If you've got a spider phobia, Enkhuizen may not be the town for you, as they're everywhere due to the abundance of life from the water. But, they weren't a problem and kept to themselves. You'll just see them everywhere you go in town. The house itself is cleaned, very well stocked, fantastic kitchen, comfortable bed. The stairs are a bit steep (typical old-dutch style), so keep that in mind, and just don't wear slippery socks. They were certainly doable. The bistro next door and the fish store across the road are both EXCELLENT. As well as the abundance of other foods there are in town. Highly recommend and would be glad to come back.

It is a very nice place with a beautiful view at the lake. The mornings are marvelous. The house is very good kept, well furnished as well as the kitchen is well kept. If you have small kids, the stairs are sleppery and could be dangerous, please keep in mind. But so are all the houses in Holland. We were there with our 4 years old daughter, with a little bit of courage without problems. Thanks a lot.
