Trullo Abate in the countryside of Ostuni

We stayed at the Trullo for about 2 weeks and had an amazing time. It is a really nice quiet place with a great view. The apartment was clean an well equiped. The owners are really nice and helpful.

Fantastic Trullo on a lovely and quiet property just two minutes off the road between Martina Franca and Ostuni. Ideally located to visit all the Puglia sites but to enjoy nature and quietness afterwards as well. Bruno and Francesca were great hosts, very responsive and with great restaurant recommendations in Ceglie. Highly recommended!

Almost 3 years since we first discovered Trullo Abate, we finally were able to come to Italy to enjoy our stay here. It was fantastic. So quiet, so private, and yet close to the wonderful towns of Ostuni, and Locorotundo, and Ceglie Messapica. Francesca was very patient with us over the last couple of years as we had to change plans several times. Lello was a very friendly helpful host, dropping in on us a couple of times during the week to feed his equally friendly dog, Nica, to make sure everything was OK. And it was. It was a marvelous experience and highly recommended for anyone looking for a very comfortable and very quiet trullo experience.

To have your own little house in an olive orchard between numerous charming villages in Puglia. What a wonderful treat. Beautiful.

This trullo is so gorgeous you won't want to visit anywhere else in the area. We had to force ourselves to leave everyday and we were always delighted to return to watch the sunset.

This Trullo is located in the countryside and offers peace and quiet to those who stay there. The property is well finished, with a cosy atmosphere. The owners are extremely helpful with everything, from checking in and out, to advice on areas to visit, supermarket locations, and places to eat. Highly recommended. The trullo and the whole object is an absolute dream. The trullo was built only last year with a lot of passion for detail and the arrangements follow the style of local living (dining/ relaxing/ barbecue area). Francesca was a constant and very kind contact person. She and her husband will help you out with everything. We can highly recommend Trullo Abat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Trullo Abate. The house is well laid out and very tastefully decorated and furnished. The owners are helpful and kind and have provided good books about the area. The surrounding orchards and fields are filled with astonishing wild flowers as well as trulli, some of which are yet to be renovated. The house is in an ideal situation for visiting many interesting surrounding towns and villages. Thank you Francesca and Bruno for a great experience.

Francesca and Brune, the owners, are very hospitable people and they speak good English. We had a very pleasant stay in Pugla. The area has many interesting places to visit, and all not far from the Trullo Abate. The trullo provides all the luxury you need during your stay. And it all works well. Outside the trullo there are a number of terasses you can sit and enjoy in the sun.

We wanted to stay somewhere away from it all, in a characterful place. We really couldn't have asked for more: this beautifully restored trullo is surrounded by olive groves with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside, and really feels tucked away. You can step outside from your bedroom in the morning and you are surrounded by peace and quiet and lovely greenery. It's reached by a small track from the main road going up the hill, and the nearest neighbours are a little distance down the track, you can just about see their roof poking out from neighbouring olive groves. Though it felt nicely isolated, it was ideally situated to visit all the lovely places in the Itria Valley - Ostuni, Cisternino, Ceglie Messapica, Locorotundo, Martina Franca, Alborello, coastal towns (on average 10 minutes to maximum 30 minutes away by car - you need one). It was easy to reach from Brindisi airport. Matera, at 1.5 hours, is also definitely worth a trip. The trullo and the grounds itself are absolutely gorgeous. The trullo is very tastefully decorated with little personal touches, It has a cute little kitchen and the bathroom is really lovely too with a nice shower. The bedroom is very pretty with a comfy bed. There are lots of sockets, good lighting, a safe, and fairly reliable wifi. Outside there are lots of places to sit down and find shade or sun, eat, drink, read etc. There's an outdoor shower, and the best of all - lots of hammocks! At night it's very peaceful to sit outside and listen to the crickets... The hosts were very friendly and lovely people - they gave recommendations on where to eat in the area and were very helpful. We love this place so much, we kind of want to keep it to ourselves and stay forever! We will definitely be back!
