Quiet, remote, well equipped, and tasteful. Beautiful addition and the dock was great for the boat as was the semi-protected cove. We'll be back. The only issue was the heat for the main part of the house would not work and it got a little cool at night but we worked through that.
It was a great experience .
Very nice and clean house with new looking master bedroom suite, which was very comfortable. The doc has a beautiful view of the lower part of Mooselookmeguntic Lake and was great for our boat; plenty of water. The slope down to the doc may be challenging for some, but overall a great property. We had a very enjoyable week at the Tree House!
This was our 7th year renting the Tree House and we have already booked for 2023. We love this cabin! It's always so clean, the location is remote, and it has everything we need for the week. Even though the cabin is remote, the drive to Rangeley or Oquossoc does not take that long. We love Loon Lodge, just past downtown Rangeley, for dinner and drinks. It's hard to find a restaurant open on Mondays since the pandemic, so we've started going to Moose Alley. They have a bar we can sit at to have a drink and a delicious flatbread pizza. We just discovered Portage Brewhouse this year in Oquossoc. We will definitely go back there again. I can't say enough good things about Oquossoc grocery! They make the best breakfast sandwiches! We are already counting down the days until our next stay!
Second time we've rented this camp. Unique design, lovely front porch/deck for reading, east access to walks in Stephen Phillips preserve, nice dock area with deep water for swimming. Because it is in a cove, you're next to neighbors - wonderful family to the left, somewhat standoffish family to the right. Not a camp for people who can't climb lots of stairs, but t just fine for us. Wonderful week all around.
This was our 7th year staying at the Tree House. We always look forward to coming back to our house nestled in the trees. The house is well-stocked with all that we need in the kitchen and along with many appliances. The house is perfectly situated in a protected cove with only five other houses sharing it, and we have become friends with our neighbors. Morton & Furbish has always been attentive to our needs and always friendly and helpful.
Waterfront is gorgeous...stair case down to waterfront is a work out and not easy with kayaks and canoes...fun...like climbing on a trail at the bottom...rental people were very attentive...
Great fun exploring the beauty of Oquossic and the Rangely lakes region.
Really fun and lovely house. Such a great location with a quiet cove for great canoeing. We spent the mornings on the quiet dock with coffee and the evenings canoeing the cove and playing board games after the sun went down. The kids loved catching fish off the dock! Do make sure you're ready for stairs as the walk up and down from the dock gives you a workout, but this place is totally worth the effort.
We just finished our 6th stay in the Tree House about a week and a half ago. It's one of our favorite cabins. So pretty and clean. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds at the feeder on the deck this year. They came to visit every day we were there. We had a little difficulty finding restaurants open the early part of the week, but had a delicious flatbread pizza in Moose Alley on Monday. Loon Lodge in Rangeley is always a favorite of ours. We had a couple of meals at 45th Parallel at the bar. The pulled pork egg rolls were amazing! We got to do our favorite hikes up to Angel Falls and then Smalls Falls where we soaked in the cold (!) water on a very warm day. It was exhilarating. The water in the Kennebago River was very low this year but we still managed a 3 hour paddle in our kayaks. As always, our week went too quickly and we are left with more incredible memories. We've already started counting down the days until we return.
