I stayed with my husband, our three children (ages 7, 11 and 13) and my parents in law (in their 70s) for 4 nights. Home was comfortable and well-equipped and communication with the property manager was excellent. Very close to Sleeping Bear Dunes and charming Glen Arbor (check out the Cottage Book Shop!). The lower level bedrooms felt damp and chilly upon arrival but we ran the dehumidifier in the queen bedroom closet during the day and found that effective.

Very nice place, we were a group of 6 college friends (now 71) and we really enjoyed this part of Michigan and tree House was a perfect base. We only had 2 nights, I would recommend at least 3-4

We stayed at the Tree House as part of a family-reunion group with the others staying in other properties at the Homestead. The Tree House was beautiful, clean, and well-stocked for cooking purposes. The deck is a bonus, with regular deer sightings and black squirrel visitors. It's a short walk down to the beach, and there's so much to do in the area: we hiked/dune-climbed, kayaked, e-biked and regular biked, sailed (on the tall ship Manitou), and even curled (Leelanau Curling Club, 2-hr beginners' lesson - super fun). If you have the opportunity to stay here, do. We would love to come back. My husband said to add that for the number of people staying here (we had 9) it was quite spacious and comfortable - plus a generous great-room area. And of course there were the terrific forest views as you would expect from a treehouse!

The communication we had with Robin was excellent. Our check-in process was seamless and her place was clean and extremely comfortable. Our purpose for staying there was a few days with women friends and we enjoyed it immensely. We were able to spread out in the living room in the evening, and there is plenty of room in the kitchen for the few meals that we had there. We had all the necessary appliances and kitchen items that we needed. It was quiet and private and of course, you can’t beat the location. All my friends really loved the place and we highly recommend it.

Glen Arbor is one of our favorite locations so we were excited to share it with our daughter and son-in-law. This home is perfectly situated in a lovely wooded area. We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor spaces.

The Tree House is a great home to relax and close to the beach. The kitchen has everything just like home. The beach is not crowded and offer a beautiful view of sunset.

Family from Los Angeles, Bellingham Washington, New York City and Plymouth Michigan met for a 70th birthday celebration. Great location to visit Glen Arbor, Empire, Fish Town, M-22 and to climb the sleeping bear dunes.

We loved The Tree House! Nicely decorated and appointed, with views of the woods thru large windows and patio doors in the main living areas. The location was perfect for exploring Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Empire and beyond.

The hosts were wonderful communicators and answered any question we had - so for that we were grateful. However, we were underwhelmed with the property as soon as we arrived. The address was easily confused with a set of condos on the same road - we were greeted by a rather cranky neighbor who eventually told us we were at the condos and not the houses - an unfortunate start to the stay. The house is very large - but needs a lot of upkeep. For those who are sensitive to smells - it does smell a little musty. We were also surprised by the lack of towels on hand, as well as toilet paper (we eventually found a few rolls after reaching out to hosts). When using the pullout couch - there were leftover toys stuffed inside, as well as crumbs. Overall - it seems like it can meet some needs - but it definitely not something we would return to. I certainly would not recommend having more than 8 people stay here. Sad that we had to leave this review - the setting really is quiet.

Perfect spot to stay for a quick ski weekend at the Homestead! Spacious main living space to spread out and enjoy - 3 full bathrooms was a plus- and nice efficient setup downstairs with the two additional bedrooms and full bath.

The house is beautifully situated in the forest and offers complete privacy on the deck. The light coming in the windows in the afternoon was wonderful. We found everything that we needed for a relaxing stay. Windows need washing and the carpet needs a good cleaning, but the routine housekeeping standards seem high.

This property was perfect for a group of eight friends. The right number of bedrooms, beds, privacy and bathrooms. Kitchen was good and well equipped. Very convenient to the dunes and the local grocery store.

All in all the home was well equipped and comfortable. Robin was responsive to our needs. It would be more accurate to indicate that there is couch with a pull out bed in a separate room on the main floor bringing the total number of bedrooms to 5. The exterior of the home was not up to par. The wood in the entryway and the deck all need at least a coat of paint. The roof that is visible from the back deck looks like it needs attention too.

We spent three nights at the Tree House and wish we could have stayed longer. The name fits the property well, lots of trees and canopy give it a private feel, even though the neighboring homes are close by. Lots of space for our family with an open floorplan, high ceilings, and lots of windows in the main living area. Nearby is the town of Glen Arbor, just about a 5 minute drive away. So much to do in town, restaurants, shopping, kayak tours, biking, mini golf, etc.; but also a great location that served as base camp for us as we went on daily adventures to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Haven, Glen Lake, Empire, Leland and the Leelanau Peninsula. Would definitely come back and stay again!
