About this home:
We are perched on the side of a mountain! The private road approaching the home is a paved, one-lane
road. The driveway from the road to the home is paved as well, but very steep. Vehicles with a low
carriage will need to approach slowly and with caution in order to avoid scraping the bumper or bottom of
the car. A four-wheel drive vehicle is not necessary, but it does make navigating the driveway easier. If
the roads are icy, plan to stay put until it is safe to travel. There is enough space for four vehicles to park
in the paved driveway. We do have three outdoor security cameras on site, as well as an alarm system,
which will be disabled prior to your arrival.
PLEASE NOTE: We have stocked the home with a limited supply of toilet paper, hand soap, paper
towels, garbage bags, dishwashing soap and laundry detergent for your convenience. If you happen to
run out or need additional supplies during your stay, it is your responsibility to replenish at a nearby store.
Towels, linens and basic toiletry items are provided, but housekeeping services during your stay are not.
As a friendly reminder, no pets are allowed, and smoking or vaping are not permitted in the house. A
$500 fine will be assessed if there is evidence of pets or smoking on premises, including cigarette butts
discarded in the yard. The garage is not for guests' use.
A group of us came to Hendersonville for an event, but also wanted our “own” space. This was the perfect place…a short and pleasant drive into town, but also a respite from the activity of the event. The house was very clean and well kept. I want to come back when we can stay longer and really chill out. The downtown is super charming, and I’d love to have time to explore more of the area.
Very nice and comfortable, peaceful
This house is a hidden gem! We loved the privacy and peaceful setting overlooking the distant hills and valley. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, so it doesn’t feel cramped, even with eight people. The TVs are new and great for watching sports. The kitchen has a nice big refrigerator and freezer, so we had plenty of room for groceries and beverages. I can definitely see coming back here for a longer visit.
This charming cottage in the trees was the perfect escape from our busy lives. We can’t be completely unplugged, and this house has really good internet allowing us to stay in touch as well as enjoy Netflix and Hulu shows. The house is very tidy with good linens and ample toiletries provided. The gas grill made for an awesome steak dinner!
The house was much larger than expected. The temperature dropped on us or we would have spent time on the porch. We enjoyed everything, maybe a big recliner or sofa to watch tv by. We definitely will return.
and Dupont State Park. The waterfalls in this county are just amazing, and at the end of the day you will appreciate the welcoming warmth of this nicely appointed home. We'll be visiting again!
We have rented a number of houses in North Carolina, and this one has a lot of bang for the buck. First of all, the view from the front porch is awesome…you can see all the way beyond Asheville. The location is close to a lot of the places we enjoy for hiking. We found the beds to be comfortable—nice linens and towels. The kitchen is really big with plenty of counter and cabinet space, so we weren’t bumping into each other. Appliances work well. I’d like to come back in the fall to see the leaves.
