Tranquility Beach House - Beautiful cape cod style home just a short walk to Oak Street beach access

The house itself was nice, clean, well-maintained and in a great location within walking distance of the lake. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the heating system was broken during our visit and would not turn on. With temperatures dropping to 45F, the house became cold, making it harder to enjoy our time indoors.We contacted the host immediately about the issue. While they responded, they were unwilling to come and fix the furnace during our stay. Instead, they dropped off a single space heater for my elderly mother’s room but provided nothing for my children or the rest of the house. This was completely inadequate and a major disappointment, especially given that reliable heating is a basic expectation for any rental.Because of this, our stay was less enjoyable than it should have been. I recommend confirming with the host that the heating system is fully functional before booking, especially during cooler months.

Shower head in bath was loose and squirted water all over the bathroom and my dress clothes. I had to wipe down the whole room and ceiling. Big stain on bedroom carpet.Asked a little extra time on the 10 am checkout and was told sure. For 75 an hour. I'm sure it must be in the fine print somewhere but not the sort of response that supports customer loyalty.

House is in a great location, very clean and updated. Beds are comfy.

We loved the property! The only issue was there was no hot water to take a shower for hours. That was challenging after everyone returned back from the lake.

This home was the perfect home away from home on our family vacation. House was clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Good neighborhood, great access to the beach. We will definitely be back.

Fun, fun time in this lovely cottage home. We just needed some blankets for the beds, & the management brought them over right away! We plan to return for our annual girls get-away!

We had a great stay! It was my husband, me, our son and daughter in law and their 3 daughters. We had a great time!…… just a few things…… there was no extra toilet paper, paper towels, soap in the bathrooms in the pump bottles were almost with no backups for those. There were about 25 napkins with no backup pkgs. It was advertised as a fully stocked kitchen but we had to buy these items for ourselves. Also, one of the kitchen chairs was broken …. The legs were held on with large screws and bolts….. one of the legs had no bolts to hold the leg on! My husband sat on the chair the last day and it collapsed under him ( and he’s not a big guy). He is ok but it would be a safety concern and should be fixed before the next renters get there. Otherwise, the house was great, grill worked fine, LOTS of beach toys and big wagons to take everything to the beach!! Overall, except for the items above, it was great!!!!

We travel from Connecticut to South Haven two weeks out of the summer. As we are originally from MI, we look forward to our Michigan families taking turns staying with us and having fun at the Lake. This property was a perfect location, was well-equipped, and had the space to accommodate all of our needs! We loved our two weeks on Oak Street Beach and in South Haven!
