Stayed Oct 16, 2025Das Fritz Weinhaus is an outstanding property, a nice older home that has been maintained well and/or updated nicely. Jim and Laura are amongst the best hosts we have encountered, with many small touches around the home to make our experience easier. We were joined by our three legged, 17 yr old Shih Tzu Hobbes who could not get enough of the nice weather and excellent back yard for dogs. I highly recommend this property, we will stay again as we return to Hill Country to enjoy the many local wineries.

Home is well equipped & always spotless! Perfect hosts that think of everything - plenty of snacks, bottled water, coffees, paper goods & toiletries. One of our favorite vacation homes!

The location is perfect - close enough to Fredericksburg to be an easy drive, convenient to many attractions, yet quiet & out in the country. Jim & Laura are the perfect hosts - supplying anything you could need from a well-stocked snack basket to a frig with breakfast items, to bottled water, to all kinds of coffee & tea, to wine and hand-decorated cookies! It is always a pleasure to stay here - one of our favorites, we always return.
