Quiet and private, this spacious three bedroom with room for eight is poised - like an island on an island - on a tiny peninsula jutting out from peaceful Lopez Island. Just 10 minutes from the shops, cafes and galleries in Lopez Village, this lovely home on scenic and tranquil Fisherman Bay is your ticket to a total Lopez Island experience!
Stylish, roomy, and comfortable, this bi-level, chalet-style home sits on a sea of green right next to the bay. After cycling up to the village or exploring the nearby beach, park the bikes and unwind in the spacious living area under a wood-lined, vaulted ceiling.
Have a seat on the plush couch or kick off your shoes and put your feet up on the ottoman. You could catch a cable show on the flat-screen smart TV or bring up the laptop and check on local events and sites... but chances are, the view of the bay through the window-studded wall will distract you. Why resist Slip out onto the huge, covered deck and sip your drink as you watch the activity out on the bay.
If you're traveling with a larger group, you'll find the home has plenty of cozy spots for everyone to slip off and enjoy a little peace and quiet. While everyone else is catching up in the living room by the fireplace, there's a relaxing den with pull-out sofa and another smart TV, perfect for an afternoon nap.
There are two bedrooms upstairs, each with a full bed, and a third bedroom with a queen bed downstairs. Along with the sofabed, up to eight guests can comfortably share the space. The home also has two full bathrooms and a washer and dryer, so you can pack light!
Though there are some pretty nice places to eat about 10 minutes away in the village, you may want to prepare some meals yourself. No problem! You'll have everything you'll need to fix a great meal - morning, noon, or night - in this fully equipped kitchen with a big refrigerator, microwave, and plenty of cabinet space to hold the supplies you brought. And remember, you're in seafood country, so how about some surf and turf Just click on the gas grill and enjoy a barbecue out in the beautiful outdoors.
And speaking of the outdoors... this special waterfront property sits right on Fisherman Bay, with a wide grassy lawn leading to a low-bank rocky beach. This is a great place for kayakers. If you decide to venture beyond your own front yard, you'll find that Lopez Island is 15 miles long, eight miles wide, and is mostly rolling hills and flat pastureland. This makes it a perfect environment for cyclists who can test their mettle (without battling hills) on the 30-mile loop around the island that will take you through Spencer Spit Park, Odlin Park, and MacKaye Harbor.
Or, lace up the hiking boots and take on one of the parks with trails to explore in Shark Reef Sanctuary that will take you through old growth woods and along scenic coastal vistas. For your taste of tourism, head up to Lopez Village where you can purchase souvenirs in the shops and galleries, have a great meal in one of six eateries, or just have a picnic among the beautiful island environment.
Whether you choose to just hang out at this beautiful home or go out and explore the rugged coastal beauty of Lopez Island, you'll come away with lots of memories and, very likely, an urge to return soon!

The home had black mold in the bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom had horrible smell and the laundry room next to it was full of chemicals and rat traps. The bath towels were dirty. The home was not clean. The home manager was great with communication and we asked to leave the property and he refunsed us and apologized.
The beach was great.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the house. Will recommend
The view of the bay was lovely.
The wall of windows and covered porch make the place!! Private and quiet dead end road with access to beaches, walking& biking right out the door. Only a few minutes drive to Lopez Village for bike & kayak rentals, restaurants and shops. The kitchen is simply equipped, missing a few basics, with an awkward configuration if you are planning to cook.
Stayed here with my sister's family and mine, we had 3 kids and 4 adults, but really could have squeezed a few more in. Beds were plentiful and having 4 separate rooms was fantastic. The location was fabulous with great views and an awesome big backyard to play in. Only issue we had was a severe lack of cups! There were far too view drinking glasses and mugs for a large group. An extra cutting board would have been nice also.
Quiet place on the water close to village. Great value! Bring some glassware as they are a little short.
This was a nice place to stay and use as a home base for the weekend on Lopez. We came for the Tour de Lopez and especially enjoyed hanging out on the back porch after the ride. Due to conflicts that came up for some of the family, there was a lot more space than we needed, but it would be nice for a larger group, too, and the price was still very reasonable. It's a quiet location, a little out of the way, but very peaceful!
We all enjoy the house. Everything was pretty clean, but the kitchen needs an upgrade. Also all the pans and cooking utensils. The windows were pretty dirty on the living room but other than that everything was perfect.
We were moved into this house after the previous house we stayed had issues. This house was spacious and adequate. It had plenty of rooms and space for everyone in our family. The kitchen is stocked with kitchenware, but they were old and worn. The kitchen utilities were functional, but also a bit dated. There was no dishwasher. But, everything worked and we were able to prepare meals. The house has a great deck and is spacious with various rooms for everyone to spread out. There are 2 bathrooms, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs and are very functional. The house is a little ways out, but that can be a nice thing since it was quiet and peaceful.
The view is amazing, location and layout of home was great. The home needs some deep cleaning. There were spiders, in the closets, corners and edges of the carpet. Carpet had several stains. Appliances were old and refrigerator would not stay closed.
Great location, great space and clean! The price is very fair and if there was a need, once it was able to be communicated the need was met immediately. Great open space in back, lawn games were entertaining! Use the space! Concerns included need for more basic amenities like kitchen towels, toilet paper, and we needed to call for kitchen garbage bags. The kitchen could use an upgrade in cookware, and the grill needs an upgrade or to be maintained. Concerns that are easily addressed and should not make the determination of booking the house or not! Thank you for the great vacation! We will be back given the chance!
Do not rent this house unless you plan to spend most of your stay cleaning it. The house is in horrible condition and customer service is nonexistent. Having stayed in many VRBOs and other rentals in multiple countries, I can safely say this is the worst rental I have ever encountered. The sheets were stained and dirty, the floors covered in dirt, stains on the walls, every dish in the kitchen was filthy, as were the pots and pans. We spent the entirety of our first night in the property washing sheets and towels (including towels in the pantry, which were also disgusting), and scrubbing the kitchen to make it usable. The cleaning fee the company charges is a scam, since it has very clearly not been cleaned in years. We notified the corporate owner/renter of the property of these issues by e-mail and text; but the company never replied. Other low-lights: * The roof leaks, so bring buckets. If it rains, it drips in the living room. * The back door was open and unlocked when we arrived, so there are clear safety concerns. * The kitchen appliances are ancient and barely functional. * The stove is so dirty that anytime you turn it on, it burns the residue from the past dozen occupants that the company never cleaned up after. * The barbecue grates are broken. * The lounges on the front deck are also broken. * In addition to the surface-level filth, the house needs a very, very deep clean. The stains on the walls and ceilings are obviously not new. It's tempting to give the house another star because of the location (excellent), how great Lopez Island is, and the ease of getting into Lopez village, but the reality is that the house itself is an embarrassment. You will have problems renting it, and the rental company is unresponsive.
