Stayed Dec 23, 2025Place was great, and clean! Like others have mentioned this is in a suburban area, but the house was fantastic. Hiking trails that were easy for all are literally out the back door. Easy to get to downtown Asheville and all the other sites. The only the detractor for the stay was the “breaking bad’esque” double wide that you pass on the way into the driveway. But that has nothing to do with the property in the comfortableness that awaits you at this VRBO.

Stayed Dec 7, 2025The house was nice inside and clean. Loved the tall ceilings and big windows looking straight into the forest. All amenities were provided such as washer pods and soups which was very convenient. Note: When booking through vrbo you will still have to sign a contract and download an app by the management company.

Stayed Oct 10, 2025The property had everything we needed for a great weekend away. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds and pillows were comfortable, the trails out the back door were so fun to explore with the kids..:I can’t say enough good things about this place. Location is also close to everything.

Stayed Jun 20, 2025What a wonderful property! The pictures are great and they don't do the view or house justice! The house was wonderful and very clean. The location, with the property backed up to the national forest, was perfect. The trails were just steps away.

Stayed Jun 12, 2025The place was so nice! We loved how quite and cozy the place was. Loved the kitchen more than anything (I'm a foody that loves to cook). Phone signal was rough but it felt good to unplug. Definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants wants a luxurious cozy cabin in the woods!

Stayed May 16, 2025Loved being able to bike from Bent Creek front door into Pisgah National Forest. That close to the woods, anticipate a few insects. Well maintained hot tub. Stylish cement floors. A dehumidifier integrated into HVAC system would be nice-to-have, as running the AC to lower humidity would turn it frigid. Still, five stars as complete package and Yonder management/structure made for a very nice family weekend. Would absolutely return. Thank you.

Stayed Apr 5, 2025We picked Trails End Retreat for its location, and it did not disappoint! Being able to explore the National Forest right out the back door by foot and by bike was such a great experience. We had our dog with us, and she loved it too. There is also a community park with some playground equipment, a basketball court, and a pavilion about a half-mile walk away, which was nice for the kids. The house itself was also great! The huge windows all around as well as the finished concrete floors (accompanied by plenty of rugs) were both excellent features that we loved. The hot tub was also in great condition, and we used it a lot. The only tricky things for us were that the sliding trash cans in the kitchen island seemed to not fit super well, so they were a little hard to open and shut. Not a huge deal though. Also, we arrived after dark, and we actually tried to enter the unit next door, which could’ve been scary for occupants there or dangerous. Luckily there was no one there at the time. There might have been details on this in our reservation info, but if there was, I missed it. All in all, a great spot. Would rent again.

Stayed Feb 13, 2025It was wonderful overall. Stocked more than expected, accurate to the distance between downtown Asheville and surrounding areas. Only slight correction would be the distance between homes as in there were two homes on either side in clear view. Not a huge deal! Just something we noticed and is probably more private in other seasons. We loved having a trail in the backyard! And we loved how close we were to everything else! The hot tub was larger than expected as well as the rest of the house. Everything was as promised and more.

Stayed Jul 25, 2024So peaceful and quiet! Forest with trails (use ALLTrails) right out backdoor. Comfy beds, fantastic showers, air conditioning, etc. View out back is fantastic - but bring a robe (no curtains in public areas. Great thick curtains in bedrooms). Awesome hot tub (after all the hiking within an hour drive or out backdoor, you will need that hot tub!). We did lots of breweries too (so many in the area, Voodoo, Oscar Blues were favs). Did Biltmore (use the discount code provided because its expensive). Spectrum went out one evening. Wow on communications with company. Calls/txt, kept me updated, checked we were back up after Spectrum said we were. Was very impressed. Only negative? The exact location is different. You will NOT be across from Arboreteum. Although You will be at the end of road, backing up to forest, near water treatment plant (not sure what they do, because no smell). The abandoned but occupied trailers are not next to you. Only 2 of them covered by trees. The occupants stay hidden (turned off radio when they must have seen me walking near by). I almost didn't see the trailers due to overgrowth, and isn't issue. LOTS of folks go running/biking near by. I felt safe (but was also aware of no curtains on back of house). Will I return? YES. Am I sad I am sharing how great this place is? Sort of, because then might not be available in future ;-)
