We really enjoy staying at Leadville tiny house. We were disappointed with how dirty the tiny house was. The walls had marks and dirt on them as well as the baseboards in the bathroom. We swept the floor and gathered a large amount of dirt and pet hair. We still would totally recommend the tiny houses for anyone staying for an extended stay. We love being able to cook and have a regular house while we are in Colorado.
the tiny house was cold and the heater in the middle of the house did not keep the bedroom warm. The wifi was not working the the property manager could not get it or the TV functioning
Convenient location near downtown with everything you need. We had 3 people staying there and we seemed to have plenty of space. The kitchen was well suited for cooking and We had a great time
We had a great stay in Salida. One of nicest VRBOs we have visited! The host was easy to communicate with and checking in and out was very easy. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. Great location!
Really homie and quaint; overall great!!
We were excited to return to Leadville and stay in town this time. The tiny house neighborhood is easy to find and very conveniently located. The area also feels safe. Anything you'd want to visit from food to shops is walkable. The tiny home has pretty much everything you need. I do think it could use a deep cleaning as there was a lot of dog hair on our comforters, kitchen knives that needed a thorough washing and some major dusting that was needed throughout. The toilet also ran on/off throughout the night which was a little bothersome. I would recommend the property for its convenience and the novelty of staying in a tiny home village; just needs some cleaning.
First, let me say that this is the second time I’ve stayed in one of this groups tiny houses. The first experience was pretty good. This time around there were several issues that arose. We reserved the Maverick & on our way there we received a call that the pipes had burst so they had to move us to their “newest” tiny house that wasn’t even listed yet. Being from Colorado we understand that it’s extremely cold in Leadville and that the pipes can easily freeze when the water isn’t left to drip & the heat isn’t left on. Those instructions are given to every renter in writing & usually posted in the tiny house. When we arrived to “Lily”, our replacement house, the heat was off & everything was frozen. We contacted the company who then sent over the property manager which took about 20ish minutes. Our problem with this was that they should’ve checked the property they moved us to before telling us to go there. Had they done that- this could’ve been avoided. When the property answer showed up, he took my husband to the tiny house next door. Thankfully, it had heat & running water. While neither the Lily or the third place were as nice as we hoped the Maverick to be- at least we could stay there. This tiny house was rough. Whoever slapped it together didn’t even try. The outlet covers are crooked & don’t even cover the cutouts, there’s a large gap around the front door letting in tons of cold air, much of the trim is barely holding on , falling off, or crooked. Perhaps the most annoying thing in these homes are the lack of blankets. In a climate such as Leadville, why would you not provide comforters? Instead you get one thin coverlet per bed. The mattresses are comfortable thigh. There wasn’t a table or TV trays so you have to eat on your lap, the walkway to the house is fort so you track that inside & there’s no rug to wipe your feet on so the dirt gets everywhere. None of this sounds appealing so why would you stay there? For the experience. Here’s the thing- with a few simple improvements these tiny homes would change my review immensely. Lay down some patio stones outside, get an inexpensive door mat, a small table to eat at inside, a few comforters. What they did well was their customer service. The person we dealt with via text to alert them to the frozen pipes was very responsive. The property manager was kind & apologetic. When I requested a partial refund, we received it a few days later via our back account.
Stayed here for a night with my girlfriend, great location to walk to local pubs. House was nice, and pet friendly.
Good location. Walking distance from local shops, restaurants, and bars.
We loved our stay at The Maverick!! The tiny home was clean, well stocked with linens and kitchen items. The weather was chilly during our visit, but the tiny house kept us comfy and warm. The host was great with any communication. Location was perfect - within walking distance to everything in Leadville. We’d love to stay at The Maverick again!

Was our first time in a tiny home! It felt so much bigger than we could have expected! Was great to be walking distance to downtown and enjoyed it for a getaway!
