Tiki Lagoon | Pool + Boat Dock

We booked this home over a month in advance, my family of 7 all incredibly excited to stay. Unfortunately our reservation was canceled within 24 hours of our check in time. We told that this was due to infrastructure issues with the unit and were given a second home as an accommodation. Unfortunately, the home suggested to us was not up to par with the original unit or our expectations. We understand that things happen and our safety is the priority, it was just very disappointing to hear of this so close to our check in time. Several items had already been purchased for the trip, most were perishable items. Family from out of state had already arrived for the stay. Overall, not a great experience. Hope they can resolve the issues with the home and not this again with any future clients.

This house was decent. The listing is defiantly better than actually presented. The kitchen was big and spacious, many drawers and cabinets had locks on them. The gas stove is nice, but only 2 burners work. Dishwasher works. Washer and dryer works, but dryer takes several cycles to dry, also the sliding doors to close off the washer and dryer make it hard to open the dryer. Fridge was nice. Stocked with plenty of plates, cups, cookware and silverware. Living room was nice, had one working TV but another TV below that didn’t work (why is it still there). Several outlets not working (review from Nov 2022 stating the same). Master bedroom spacious, the bed is hard as a rock and uncomfortable. Master bath is updated and beautiful. Upstairs rooms stayed hotter, even with a 2nd AC unit running. One room upstairs has blinds that are melting and broken, they don’t really provide any type of shade or prevent sunlight from the sun. House provides only 4 bathing towels, make sure to bring plenty of those. Outside- the boat dock-fishing area is sinking, floods when the tide comes in, about 2 feet, not something you can just step lightly around. We had to go to the management company and ask for them to make us a ramp or something to access the dock (part of the amenities you are paying for). Green light for fishing still doesn’t work (review from July 2024 states it doesn’t work). Several outdoor lights did not work. Fire pit is burnt though, not that it was cold, but it was poor to see.

It was a good house they just don’t provide trash bags

Location was good and the house was spacious. Due to the recent hurricane, I was in contact with the leasing agent from Ryson Vacation Rental who assured me the house and pool was ready for guests. Upon arrival, we found all of the outdoor furniture tied up and piled up behind the downstairs bar area. One of the bedrooms had barbeque pits and outdoor bar stools/chairs/cushions in it and on the beds. The green light for fishing did not work. The pool maintenance man came one morning and told me the pool was very contaminated and should not be swam in. This is after my family had already been swimming because the vacation rental agent assured me it was safe. The agency was not helpful, did not return my calls, and lied on several occasion. If I was the owner of this home, I would immediately list with another rental company.

The gas stove had only 2 of 5 burners working. Most drawers and closets had locks. The open closets were full with household items and vacuum. No place to hang clothes. Insect pods were everywhere. All purchased food items like bakery goods had to be stored in microwave due to ants infestation. Wood on stairs and deck was rotting. The golf cart was stored in car port and not useable. However, the inside and outside house was perfectly cleaned.

Need to list the kitchen appliances like the blender and keurig. The 3rd bathroom that’s for the bottom bedroom need some kind of shelves for thinks like toothbrush and some towel holder. It also needs some kind of mat, since is also the pool bathroom. The place overall was great, we all had a blast. The pool was great and so was the location.

Had a great experience, house was very clean and process for check-in/out was very simple and easy.

My husband, daughter, son-in-law and all 4 grandchildren stayed at this home and it was wonderful! The pool was absolutely the best part. We fished and had a cookout and really enjoyed our time here. The owner was very courteous and accommodating. Definitely one of the best family vacations yet!!

Upon our arrival, we found dead and some live roaches in every room on the property. This is to include dead bugs smashed on the walls in some of the rooms. The pictures online portrayed this property to be a beautiful place. The only thing nice about this property was the kitchen and even it had problems, walls unpainted due to repairs behind the refrigerator. Ice maker on the refrigerator wasn't working. The master bedroom had a tv that didn't work nor did the ceiling fan(broken). The other two remaining tv's had horrible service. The two rooms upstairs did not have any tv's. All the towels were worn or torn. None of the beds had mattress covers, some of the wall sockets didn't work. Ice maker on the refrigerator didn't work. Doorbell wasn't working, The light on the stairwell was not working. There was water leaking in room next to the bar. The AC in that room neve got cold.

This was the perfect getaway for our family! The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was spacious and the outdoor spaces were perfect! The pool is fun and the bar area downstairs provided a great place to eat and make s’mores. We would definitely stay here again.
