Nice little gem

Unfortunately we did not have the experience of previous reviews. Upon arrival we noticed the property was not clean. Layer of dust, smelled of wet dog/urine, muddy foot prints from the back door into the kitchen. The fridge was broken with an inch of water in the bottom drawer. Bathroom needed a deep cleaning. We did reach out to the host by phone, email and we had Expedia attempt to reach them to fix the situation. No response. Security was concerning since the neighborhood was just okay and the bedroom window, which is first floor would, not lock. Kitchen was well stocked with new items so maybe they are trying. For us would never recommend.

This house was very dirty. The bathroom walls and floor had hair on them. The tile floor around the toilet was cracked and coming up. The furniture in the living area was old and filthy. I went to Target and bought sheets to put over them so that we could sit on the couch and chair. The host allowed us to enter the home 2 hours early on Thanksgiving day.

We stopped by Lexington to see the university and a horse race on our way west.

Overall the interior was comfortable and kitchen amenities were nice.The exterior was dirty. The porch cushions were covered in dog hair and the back patio was too dirty to enjoy. The master bedroom closet was full of used bedding and only six wire hangers and one small plastic one. The second bedroom had a padlock on the closet... The bathroom didn't have a lock. There wasn't an iron or ironing board to press out clothing. Returning Saturday evening there was a stream of water coming out of the refrigerator from the bottom shelf. It was reported to the management company.I would suggest to the owner they get a new property management company as they dropped the ball on simple things. I've stayed in PURE managed properties before and they always fall short.

Older home, close to downtown, kitchen equipped, nicely decorated, bathroom dated, not well kept outdoors but overall I would stay again. Owner very responsive.

Super cute house in an easily accessible neighborhood. Street is tight for larger vehicle's, but plenty of street parking available.

This property needs a little bit of TLC. It wasn't the cleanest property. A lot of dust balls & dirt on the floors. I used a wet paper towel to wipe up something on the kitchen floor, & the paper towel was BLACK with dirt. It was obvious the floor hadn't been cleaned in a while. Some of the pots and pans were put away dirty, and we had to clean them before use. It made me wonder why I was being charged the cleaning fee. We had no hot water for about 24 hours. I discovered the hot water heater was not lit. It was just a matter of relighting it. Ants on the kitchen counters. If I were the owner of this place, I would seriously reevaluate who I had cleaning and maintaining my property. Parking was super tight and awkward. I did like the location because we could easily walk to UK campus, as well as to downtown.

Just a few days in Lexington

The house definitely needs some TLC. Upon arrival the first thing we noticed was the lawn which was about a foot and a half tall. Bugs and cobwebs in corners of living room. Living room rug had stains and appeared soiled. Kitchen faucet is loose and hardly any water pressure. Toliet in bathroom is loose. Doorknob in bedroom closet came off in our hand when we opened it. Floors need a good cleaning. Beds were very comfortable. Cute decor, overall just needs some attention.

Nice and clean home. Communication with owner was fine. Outside backyard could use a little TLC. Only issue was the outside unit being frozen, but thankfully it cooled off so we didnt need it. Owner was working on getting it fixed. Overall good rental for a quick trip and close to UK hospital where my father is. Major plus is they welcome pets which we had to travel with!

Great location. Had a bunch of snow on the ground and porch. Couldn’t find a shovel. Parking was limited and tight.

This place was the best reasonably-priced pet-friendly option we could find near downtown Lexington for our weekend stay. It was nice being able to walk to the UK campus and nearby restaurants. I'm not a huge fan of memory foam mattresses but we liked the beautiful antique furniture, wood floors, artwork, well-appointed kitchen and covered back patio.
