Beautiful home and view. If you don’t mind 36 stairs up and down to the house …this is for you!!! Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped (don’t forget to turn the ice maker on). My husband and I had a blast playing FoosBall. Plenty of wildlife to view right out the living room windows. Be sure and pack an iron (just in case). I could stand in the door of the bedroom and see nothing but water….you felt you were ON the water! Well done!
This is a fantastic property with plenty of space and amenities.
Lots of room, wonderful location on Cranberry Lake, very helpful owner and management team. Enjoyed the beauty of the lake and fall colors.
The home was beautiful and had a sprawling view of the water. All bedrooms other than the bunk room faced the water, what a spectacular way to wake up. One unexpected surprise was that the kitchen/ eating area was at one side of the house while the family room / bar area was down a long hall at the other end of the house. The separation came in handy a few times when the kitchen was hopping. The long hallway was very entertaining for the littles. We caught lots of fish, had lots of fun, it was a fabulous week.
The place is nice and cozy. Everything was every clean and the beds are comfortable. Checking-in is so smooth and the place has so many things to do.
We are a family of 6 adults and 4 kids (1-8). We loved the house because it was a ranch style. It is close to waters edge. Two piers, one with chairs and benches, was very nice. The house had everything! So much stuff in the kitchen. We brought a lot of things we did not need because the host provided it all, including some bottle water! Two of the bedrooms are VERY large. Plenty of outdoor seating and nice firepit. Abundant wildlife. We had a mom doe and her two fawns visit us several times a day. Kids got such a kick out of that. Eagles, mink, cranes, a fox, muskrats were some others. Easy drive to Eagle River. The only cons were: stairs from the road to the house, and the kids were disappointed there was no slide on the swimraft. ( owner said it had broken), but they still had a blast nonetheless, and only 1 TV in the whole house. But in actuality that made all of us more in tune with the outdoors and less on technology. Steve answers all questions very quickly!
Spacious living arrangements on a beautiful lake. Lots of amenities. Nice dock and platform. Really enjoyed staying there. The only issue we had was we brought a boat and the driveway really has no place to turn around once you enter. You don’t realize that until you’re already in too far. Overall a nice vacation property
Fabulous property and location! Everything was as described and owner and property manager reply immediately. Lots of amenities provided. Our family had a great week here, and would definitely stay here again!
We had an amazing week staying at this beautiful lake home with our family. The views are stunning, and the home is very clean and comfortable, with of plenty of space and amenities. We caught several small fish off the pier, enjoyed cooking family meals in the spacious, well-equipped kitchen, and relaxed by the bonfire at the water's edge. The location on Cranberry Lake is perfect, and it's also an easy ride to town and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!
Beautiful views, plenty of space for the family. Dock for your boat. Close to town , but still away enough. Everything you’ll need in a kitchen, comfy furniture. Couple tips, if you bring your own boat , launch it before you go, drive way is longer and turning around with it is a bit of a challenge, manageable, but the boat launch is close by so easier to drop it 1st. Quite a few of stairs from the drive to the house, mentioned in the description but didn’t deter our trip, was good exercise, just mentioning if anyone plans to bring someone with physical limitations. Overall a great stay, went by too quick!
This is the second time we've stayed at this location and cannot wait to visit again. We absolutely loved the bathroom remodels. The house definitely makes us feel like we at our home away from home. It is always clean and inviting when we arrive. The kitchen is beautiful and fully stocked. The deer come through by the dozens each day. I would like to try visiting in the Summer with the kids but Winter there has always been beautiful for us there. Highly recommend.
We stayed for the Eagle River pond hockey championship. The house was in a great location in relation to the event. The house had a grill and plenty of space!
This was a very nice place. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again!
A gorgeous home with all the amenities! Plenty of space for our group of nine. The home was very clean. We cooked all our meals, and had everything we needed in the ample kitchen. We ate some of our meals inside at the lovely dinner table, and several of our meals outside around the campfire or the bar table. A cool front rolled in, and it was lovely to have a campfire outside or the fireplace inside as cozy places to enjoy. My kids love foosball, and made ample use of the table. All of the bedrooms overlook the lake; what a delight to wake up to. We watched eagles and Kingfishers and loons catch their meals. Caught nice sized smallmouth bass, crappie, and perch from the dock. Even caught two walleyes! The dock was perfect for our boat, with easy access to Catfish lake. The steep stairs from the driveway were a little challenging for my elderly father-in-law, but they felt safe with the handrails. It was also an easy drive to several parks for walking. We enjoyed using the available kayaks, and squeezed in some swimming off of the swimming platform before it got too cold! A perfect backdrop for a magical week! Would absolutely stay here again.
My husband and I spent a week at the house with our 4 kids (ages 15-22) and had an amazing time. The home is fully stocked…they even have cake pans and a little blender! There are a lot of steps down to the house (which was expected and made clear in the description), but the views are worth it! The lake is stunning and the views across are of trees and forest, not other houses. It is mesmerizing. We loved the kayaks, fishing off the docks, and the firepit. We had lots of fuse ball tournaments, plenty of board games, lots of laughs. We didn't want to leave! Two of the bedrooms are huge. I don't remember photos of them so we were pleasantly surprised at how nice all of the sleeping accommodations were. Three bedrooms have incredible lake views. The bunk room faces the front of the house and is fairly dark (2 of our kids preferred it). There are ceiling fans and also plug in fans in all of the bedroom closets. The mattresses are comfy too…we slept well. The only things I would recommend bringing are a couple of sharp kitchen knives (there is a knife block full, but most of them are dull) and a frying pan (the nonstick surface of the ones there are pretty rough). Otherwise the kitchen ready to go. There is an ice maker in the fridge door that kept up with us and the gas stove worked great. All of the furniture is comfortable, but there is a chair in the corner of the dining area that overlooks the water that is especially so. A perfect place to read. If you have very young children there is a high chair in the dining area as well as several portable cribs. While there are stairs outside there are none inside. This was the first time most of us spent time in Eagle River and it ended up being one of our favorite family vacations. This special home was a big part of the experience and the owners really did think of everything. Thank you!
The children/grandchildren loved being so close to the water. With Cranberry lake being the last before the dam, it made tubing great because of less traffic. Views from all the rooms were great.
The cabin is much larger than it first appears when you walk in. We are a yearly fishing group that always struggles to find enough beds, this place did not disappoint. Tons of dock space and a beautiful cabin. Parking was a little tight but only because we had five vehicles and three boat trailers. We made it work though. Would be an amazing cabin for a family.
