Beautiful home with an amazing view. We went in Dec. and the home was beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed for a long weekend. My only complaint would it could use a few non stick pans. Could not ask for a better place and look forward to staying there again.
We loved this Cabin! My husband and I were there one week alone and the next week was Thanksgiving and our family arrived after conquering the ride up the mountain they enjoyed the house we all agreed it was the best Thanksgiving ever. The house was immaculate, had everything we needed the kitchen was incredibly stocked with every pot & pan plenty of dishes for our gang.
Angel Ridge is a fantastic place. The location is beautiful and the house is beautiful. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the sunrise over the valley every morning. The Maggie Mountain staff was very responsive as well.
We had a family vacation the house and location is amazing. The house has everything you need. The view is priceless and we made so many memories. We had zero problems and any questions I had were answered quickly. Great company to work with recommended them 100%. Looking forward to another visit.
Beautiful home and wonderful views. The drive up was a little difficult but the views were worth the drive.
We had our annual gathering of childhood girlfriends at Angel Ridge in late April, and the home was perfect! All 10 of us had comfortable beds, room to spread out and enjoy each others company. The kitchen is well-appointed, the great room has lovely furniture, a nice fireplace, and it seats lots of people for games and movies. The decks and firepit were amazing, and the views from the outdoor spaces were incredible! The home is in very good condition, the furniture and decor are beautiful. We cooked and laughed and visited and had a terrific visit to the area. One note, the road to the home is very steep with many switchbacks. The last quarter mile or so is gravel and mud, and you really do need AWD. Would be best to not arrive in the dark. We all would highly recommend the home and would rent it again. Angel Ridge is a spacious, elegant rustic retreat where large groups will have a wonderful time.
This property has the views and all the fun things to keep the family entertained while not hiking the GSM trails. The listing is accurate and there are many labels throughout the house to help you orient yourself and keep things in order. Beware, if you're staying during colder times the heater cannot be set over 69 and fireplace only used for 30 minutes at a time. However, each room has smaller space heaters for you to use to help keep warm. We enjoyed our stay quite a bit and will consider it again in the future.
If you want a mountain vacation in a home that you are scared to breathe in, much less enjoy, this is the one for you! Upon arrival there was a dead mouse on a trap in one of the bathrooms. Maintenance was prompt to come resolve this issue. However, our issues only continued. Everywhere in the home were labels regarding rules- for example thermostat use, gas logs, use of installed garbage disposal and even regarding pool ball rack. They even have a pile of “rags” as they call them to clean up messes on the floor, wipe you windshield, EVEN remove your makeup so you don’t soil their linen. With that being said, there is a lack of towels and hot water! Don’t plan on using any of the big tubs in each bathroom, there wasn’t even enough hot water for a single shower one evening (much less for all guests) after enjoying an evening in the boasted hot tub amenity. Maintenance was contacted regarding this issue, but we were told they did not have access to where the hot water heater was located. So showers were short and sparse to say the least. There are also many areas that are labeled as owners areas including the closet in the master room- all you have is a chest to hang your clothes in. Some of the doors that are labeled owners only have security features that will alert the home owner if merely bumped (since they do not latch). The dishwasher is not installed properly and it looks as if Velcro was used to keep the dishwasher in place. So be careful loading the dishwasher, or the whole thing may fall out. The owners clearly hold high expectations to their vacationers but return best efforts of treating the home as our own with accusatory emails regarding damages that were not made during our stay. Including a fire pit that had “metal damage” although it was not even used the first time. The home is beautiful, the views are great but we can not recommend this home.
We enjoyed our stay, the property was clean and we had all we needed to enjoy time with family.
Our group was four older couples who immensely enjoyed this property along with outstanding hikes and views on the Blue Ridge Parkway!
We loved staying here! It is at the top of a mountain with many hairpin turns -- which discouraged us from going to to dinner. The kitchen, however, needs a few more pots and pans and cooking stuff to really function well for a large group. We made do - and loved the house -- nonetheless!
The house worked perfectly for our 4 family fall getaway! The view is breathtaking - almost 180 degrees! We loved the large family room for our kids (6 under 5) to play. The kids loved exploring outside. Everything was clean and nicely updated. It would have been nice to have more towels as we used them all every day and had to do laundry.
Words cannot describe this property and pictures don’t do it justice. All the little special touches the owners have added and all the amenities were such an added bonus. Would highly recommend to anyone!! We will definitely be back!
The renting process was seamless and if we needed anything the management company took care of it.
Gorgeous property, very comfortable for our extended family. The ride up and down the mountain was daunting but do-able when you get used to it!
Our stay at this property was spectacular and exactly what we were expecting. There is plenty of space for a large gathering. EVERYTHING is labeled so you're not searching for the correct light switch. Basic essentials such as linens and toilet paper were all provided unless you're staying more than a few days. The drive up the mountain might be an issue for someone that may be uncomfortable with navigating switchbacks. Then again, how else do you get to the best views? Overall, a great time was had by all in your group. We would definitely recommend.
