This was such an incredible place! I was here for a vacation after working in Antarctica and it was the perfect accommodation to relax and explore the banks peninsula. It was very walkable to all parts of town, clean, and had a stunning balcony. The grill was a nice addition as well. I will absolutely be coming back next year.

Private little bach with a nice view, easy walking distance to town and cafes. Nice to hear the birdsong in the morning. Is a very steep drive and entrance, as noted in the description but doable. We enjoyed the location.

This property is in a perfect place for a complete getaway, the house has a great outlook although the stairs up to it are steep for carrying cases ect ,the big let down is on the inside the property is tired and especially in the kitchen worktops and utensils (kettle pots pans ect) all need renewed

Lovely location, almost you could think that the busyness of Akaroa wasn't there. Just the beauty of the surrounds.Loved the birds and their song.Just one issue was the condition of the mattress of the right hand bedroom. It was very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. We had heavy rain while we were there, the gutters need to be cleaned as they were overflowing. Thanks for sharing this space with us.

We had a lovely holiday in Akaroa, the house is located in a very nice area surrounded by birds. Beach access excellent for a paddle. Highly recommend it, the only issue was the sheets did not fit properly the beds, they are listed as doubled but they may be queen size.

The house has a great view over the harbour. It is up some steep outdoor steps, but the view at the top is worth it. I should have read the instructions more carefully before I left, because I needed to buy some duvet covers on the road down. It is a beautiful family batch that is fully stocked (except for soap in the bathroom, but I think that was an oversight.)

We really enjoyed our weekend at the treehouse. Loved hearing all the birds in the bush around the house. Nice walk into town, takes about 10-15 mins to get to the wharf, and another 5-10 to get to the Four Square. Getting up to the house is quite steep, via the stairs, but only a bother if you forget something in the car! The house was clean and well appointed. Power sockets are few and far between though so recommend you bring extension cords and multi boxes! Heat pump worked well though it wasn't that cold during our stay. Overall definitely recommend!

Basic but nice unit & close to water, bring own linen is a hassle but seems to be fairly common now

The house was a great location within easy access to everything. There is a beautiful view and great bird song. The peace and quiet was wonderful. Only negative was no blind on bathroom window or large window just outside the bathroom.
