Very nice location and clean apartment; would stay again
Met our needs perfectly
Great location with many options for dining and nightlife. Host was super helpful and the apartment had everything we needed
Area is lively and safe. Purpose was to introduce a 7th grader to Washington as she is studying civics. Parking is difficult, especially if you are driving a Dodge 1500 4-wheel drive pickup. Couldn't find one close by that I would fit in so went to the train station to park and took a cab back. Metro was an 8-minute walk once I could find someone that knew where the closes Metro was located. It would be nice to have instruction in the room. Apartment was nice and comfortable but three things missing that all unit's I have stayed in before are: tissue, ability to make coffee (Unit had a device that didn't work and no coffee that would fit if it did) and a blanket for the couch bed.
My 2 adult daughters and I stayed 2 nights here and we enjoyed our accomodations. The Adams-Martin area has plenty of eating options, including a darling coffee shop/bakery called Dee Light a couple of doors down, a fabulous Pizza place next door, Starbucks across the intersection, and a bookstore....bonus for me! Make sure to check that the apartment door locks behind you before you leave (leave someone inside in case door won't lock). We had to lock the knob from inside then close door and there was an issue with the 4 digit lock combo, but the host was quick to reply with a new code. FYI, whoever sleeps on the couch, it will be loud at night due to the nightlife of local bars, etc. Suggestions to host to leave extra toilet paper (we had 1 roll for our 2 days (3 girls) and almost ran out), some paper towels or a kitchen towel, and maybe one more blanket. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of bathroom towels. We would definitely stay here again. Great location and clean, nice apartment!
I liked the neighborhood, but it is a little loud at night. I wish there were more amenities. There wasn’t a coffee maker, toaster, paper towels, dish rags, dish towels, any trash bags, and only 1/2 roll of toilet paper. All of these items are usually standard in places I stay so this was surprising. I did enjoy having a washing machine and dryer. I enjoyed having a cute coffee shop and book store below the apartment along with so many good restaurants. Parking ended up costing me $40/night and was about 2 blocks from the location.
Very clean and nice apt. There are a lot of stairs to reach the apartment so if you have a lot of stuff/kids/elderly this apartment might not work. Also, it’s very loud area with live music directly below the apartment. I truly enjoyed this but if you go to be early or need quite this is not the apartment for you. Lots of parties in the street as well, party area of town. Great cafes and food everywhere around you.
Great place. Convenient to restaurants and Rock Creek. Wonderful communication.
We had the pleasure of staying here for two nights during a quick DC layover on our journey to Delaware. We arrived very late the first night and were surprised by the 3 flights of narrow stairs. I didn't see this in the description so just be aware. It was a bit of a challenge for us, but if stairs are not a problem for you, it's a great pad! After a bit of a struggle and a slight issue with the door code (thankful the owner was super responsive at 10pm!) we walked out to find several bustling restaurants serving fabulous food. Both nights we were there, we ended up eating dinner very late at different places just a few doors down from the apartment. It is a different scene than downtown DC and we felt like we really had a cool and unique experience. Great neighborhood, place is exactly as pictured, very clean, spacious and had all the amenities we needed. We would stay here again if in DC, just with lighter and smaller suitcases :) PS-There is a bar next door with live music but we did not hear it in the bedroom, it was just part of the vibe!
Great location lots of restaurants and bars, parking garage just a short walk but it staying over weekend garage can fill up at night so use caution use Uber/Lyft Friday and Saturday so you don’t lose your spot! If using the fold out bed bring blankets and pillows for those using it!
An opportunity to stay in this lively area of DC with bars and restaurants galore. Good bus and train links to all the major DC sights.
