My sister and I had an unforgettable stay at The Side Gate during the Mount Dora Art Festival! This charming cottage, completely separate from the main house, offers a cozy retreat with its own dedicated off-street parking. Just 3/4 of a mile from the bustling village of Mount Dora, you'll find an array of fabulous restaurants and unique shops right at your fingertips. Plus, there are plenty of water activities nearby to enjoy! Whether you're in the mood for a classic meal at Outback or want to savor the local flavors at the Peach Pantry, you’ll be thrilled with the dining options. The newly built cottage is beautifully appointed, featuring a super comfy bed and a lovely bathroom—perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring. And let’s not forget our fantastic host, who made our stay even more special! It was an experience filled with comfort, excitement, and charm!

Yes. We were welcomed with a personal note & a bottle of wine. The place was beautiful & perfect for our stay. The pictures show how well this place is furnished & decorated. Would highly recommend.

The Side Gate was a lovely place to stay for our anniversary weekend. It is situated close by the center of Mt Dora, near shops, restaurants, and beautiful natural places to walk. The home was well stocked, cozy, and clean. And the host communicated well and provided all the comforts of home - including access to a gas grill in the backyard area, which we used for a dinner in one evening!

So many thoughtful and considerate touches in such a cozy space. Love the location.

The Side Gate was a wonderful stay! It is beautifully appointed from the structure to the pillows and bedding. The host has thought of everything. Provided coffee, everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom was gorgeous with plenty of towels and extra amenities. Host provided lovely welcoming note. Unit also has side yard that we did not have time to use but would is nice spot to enjoy time outside. We walked to downtown Mt Dora which was reason for the trip. This was a perfect stay!

The room exceeded our expectations. Looked great, bed was comfortable and it had everything we needed. Close to downtown Mt. Dora a plus.

Had such a wonderful experience here! Moi t Dora is a beautiful little town and this was a great complement to that. Extremely clean, cozy and welcoming. Did not disappoint. Will be booking here again with the Wife.

The Side Gate is just the cutest little place and absolutely perfect for our girls weekend getaway. Grace has thought of every amenity you could possibly need. The location is close to all the activites in Mt Dora. We loved it so much we are planning on coming back with our husbands! Thank you Grace for the welcome note and wine! This was one of my FAVORITE places to stay. The host was AMAZING and made us feel at home during our stay. This place is a GEM! Spotless, great location and access with room to easily park our two truck's. The bed is VERY COMFORTABLE and we rested better there than our own home!! We will DEFINITELY be booking this again when we return to the area. I highly recommended The Side Gate

Cute little place in a cozy neighborhood super close to downtown Mount Dora. Nice and quiet. Definitely will stay here again when I’m in the area.
