The Shack - Beautifully renovated 3 bedroom holiday home

Beautiful clean well presented home,It had everything you could possibly need ,Games for the kids , even a dog bowl

Extremely disappointing stay – poorly maintained and not as advertisedWe were really looking forward to our stay, but the experience fell far short of what was promised.The ceiling fan in the main bedroom didn’t work, and the pedestal fan provided was extremely dirty, rusty, and unusable. The oven fan was also very noisy and not functional. Several powerpoints and lights throughout the property didn’t work, which made using the home genuinely inconvenient.The overall presentation of the property was very poor. It was not properly cleaned and had spiderwebs throughout. The beds were small and uncomfortable, and one bed squeaked so loudly that even the slightest movement made it difficult to sleep.The environment around the property was also an issue. The neighbouring properties are very noisy, creating a loud and disruptive stay. There were limited flyscreens, meaning we couldn’t ventilate the house without letting insects in.The listing was also advertised as pet friendly, but the reality was the opposite. Not only did neighbours frequently complain about even minor dog noise, but we later discovered a rule buried in the terms and conditions stating pets cannot be left unattended at the property for more than 30 minutes. This was not clearly disclosed on the listing and makes the property highly impractical for anyone travelling with pets.Overall, the property felt poorly maintained, misrepresented, and not suitable for a relaxing holiday.

The house was spotless and the pet yard was fully enclosed and no way of getting out. The kitchen had everything needed as well as Tea and coffee and a coffee machine and milk. The location was great and very quite. Was close to everything, could walk to the shops, beach and a number of walking trails. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The bathroom floor was very slippery when wet, need a bathmat that sticks to the floor so it doesn't slide. Would stay again.

We had 2 toddlers and the back area was spacious and closed off making it perfect for us to sit down longer than 5 minutes with a wine in hand. We will be making this an annual holiday at this location - couldn’t knock it!

Private and comfortable with great facilities and furnishings although the mattresses are on the firm side, not great for our old bones. Offstreet parking and dog friendly on leash coastal walks and beaches nearby.
