The Roost, a lakefront 4 season home in the Adirondack Mountains

The Roost is a four bedroom three baths two level year round home on the shores of Tripp Lake. All four bedrooms and two living rooms have lake views. Close to Lake George Village(15min), Gore Mountain Ski Resort(20min), Green Mansions Golf course(2min). Fishing, swimming, kayaking, hiking, skiing, and more; to do at or near The Roost. Perfect for couples, families and small groups.

The two master bedrooms have their own private access to the deck overlooking Tripp Lake and their ownbathroom. The upper level great room includes the kitchen, dining and living room with a fireplace overlooking the lake. The two lower bedrooms share a full bathroom off the lower living room.

The kitchen is equipped with brand new appliances and all the necesary dinnerware, silverware, stemware, and cookware. The expansive deck with Adirondack chairs provides plenty of space for gathering. The gravel patio provides additional dining space with grill for BBQing(summer only). Stairs with a handrail provides access to a dock(summer only) and shoreline of Tripp Lake.

The Roost has two TVs, one smart TV and one with an Amazon Fire stick. Each TV has a dvd player. Internet and WiFi access is provided for all your TV streaming needs. Please bring your own usernames and passwords.

Summer: Two kayaks and one canoe are provided for your use. PFDs are provided or bring your own. Please return the boats, paddles, and PFDs to the appropriate racks when finished enjoying the peaceful lake.

Winter: Sleds are provided for winter fun.

Guest access
The entire property is available to you. Two spots are off limits one closet in each of the two lower level bedrooms. Don’t worry each bedroom has two closets, plenty of storage for your things. We share a driveway. Please be courteous and make sure you are not blocking the neighbor’s driveway. Our driveway has space for two- three vehicles.

Guest interaction
Have any questions, concerns, or requests I am available via text, phone, or email with a response within the hour. Upon request, I will meet you upon check-in. I will however meet you upon check-out.

Neighborhood overview
The Roost is located in the Lake community of Tripp Lake. It is a non-motorized lake located between Warrensburg and Chestertown in the southern Adirondack Mountains of New York. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Lake George Village and Gore Mountain Ski Resort are a 20 minute drive away

Getting around
The best and only way to get to The Roost is by car.

House Rules:
Suitable for children (2-12 years)

Not suitable for infants (under 2 years)

• Smoking is NOT allowed. If any evidence of smoking is found you may incur a fine. This includes cigarette butts found outside on the ground.

• Pets are not allowed

*No fireworks of any kind.*

• Two locked closets, one in each of the lower level bedrooms are off limits to guests

• No large parties or special events

• Out of respect for our neighbors, please keep the noise level to a minimum during late hours

• Only use appliances for their intended use

• Do not sit on indoor furnishings in wet swimwear/skiwear.

• Do not put wet towels on the furniture; there is a dry rack in the lower level laundry room.

• Parking is limited to two- three vehicles. We share a driveway, please keep the driveway clear.

• Septic System: We are on a septic system please only flush toilet paper. No feminine products please.
Please do not put any food waste down the drain- including cooking grease. If there is evidence of anything other than toilet paper you may incur a fine.

• Clean and cover grill after use. Don’t forget to turn off the propane!!

• When finished using the kayaks, canoe, paddles, and life jackets please return items to their original locations.

• Do not litter. Pick -up all garbage left outside. Let’s keep Tripp Lake clean!!!

• All perishable foods and recyclables must be thrown out in the appropriate trash bins prior to your departure. Bins are located in the brown shed next to the driveway.

• Please turn off all lights inside and outside.

• Upon departure, please close and lock all windows and doors.

Other than that, enjoy the house and all the Adirondacks has to offer! We’ve put a lot of time and effort into making The Roost a relaxing and memorable destination. We ask that you be respectful and treat it like it was your own.

Although the cleaning fee does pay for the house to be professionally cleaned, we do ask that you clean all dinnerware/silverware/cookware used, and that everything is in the general location you found it on arrival.
