The Post & Beam Cottage ~ Perfect Retreat near Great Pond & Cahoon Hollow Beach

Perfect spot to enjoy Wellfleet. Loved the post and beam feel. Very clean. The host was very responsive throughout the whole stay. Definitely booking again.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Conveniently located near our favorite beaches, kettleponds, and restaurants. Three season room was perfect for sitting out at night and the cottage had all the amenities we could need for a comfortable stay. Thoughtfully decorated and furnished, easy check in/out process, and prompt communication. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely, super clean cottage, close to everything you want in Wellfleet. This stay was my summer get-away. Everyday started with breakfast on the front porch, then packed lunch and headed to a new Wellfleet beach til early afternoon, stopped for a dip in a pond on the way home. Napping, reading. Walk to ice cream and quick drive to downtown Wellfleet food, entertainment, shopping and sunsets. The cottage has everything you want. My grown daughters came for 2 nights and everyone loved it. We used all of the beds upstairs and the pull out couch downstairs. All get an A+. A friend came for a night and we enjoyed a great thunderstorm from the front porch, walked in the cypress forest and the beach, swam, ate and just chilled. Great place to unplug.

Was a great house close to the pond and the beach. The house owner was very kind and answered questions we had while we were there very quickly and respectfully. Overall an amazing place to stay to enjoy the summer on vacation.

Nicely appointed cottage in a great location. A few things to consider : - The bedrooms are on the top floor, and the bathroom is on the bottom floor. - queen bed can be difficult to navigate for tall guests (6’) given the slanted ceilings - indoor shower was unusable, and when I informed the host, she appreciated the heads up and promised to rectify the situation immediately - outdoor shower is decent - the backyard space with a table/chairs isn’t a compelling place to spend time - 3 season porch is lovely - we didn’t need the mini-splits to cool the place. We opened the windows, which gave us a nice, fresh breeze - host was interested and engaged with us. - the cottage is right next to the host’s home. She greeted us when we arrived. Overall, we had a nice stay.

We had a great time. The property is close to town and the bike trail, and an easy car ride to a variety of beaches.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The cottage was comfortable for my family of three. It was perfectly located with a feeling of seclusion but also close to all the restaurants/shops/beaches. I would highly recommend this location to a family looking for a quiet getaway while still be close to all the popular spots Wellfleet has to offer!
