In the summer, we rent our main log home (5 bedrooms, 3 baths), Bunkhouse, and Cabin as a group. In total, the rental includes 9 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 3.5 kitchens, 2 laundry rooms, and enough space to comfortably sleep 18 (if two/bed.)

Stayed Aug 17, 2025Walter and Margie are truly wonderful people and were extremely helpful and informative. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is just right. Their cabins are just absolutely beautiful, clean, cozy and had everything we needed for our stay! We felt right at home and didn’t want to leave. It was a very quiet relaxing space with beautiful views from every direction. Also in such a great location. Our young kids had a blast and they had lots of stuff to do there. We all greatly enjoyed watching the Deer and their fawns come up every day close to the house to eat from the crab apple tree. We will for sure be coming back to stay! It was the best vacation/stay we’ve had yet.. everything was perfect!

Stayed Jul 8, 2023Everything about this place was above our expectations. The views were incredible! The property was immaculate. We enjoyed everything about the property and I have no recommendations for improvement. There was an extra benefit of wildlife (deer, coyotes, prairie dogs) that came with the rental. There was a brief power outage one morning but wasn't under the control of the hosts. If you have a large family, I highly recommend The Pleasant Pheasant and hosts Margie and Walter!

Stayed Jun 24, 2023Our group of 16 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is just breathtaking. Mountain views in all directions. The house is situated at the base of one of the mountain ranges and it couldn’t be more peaceful. The house is fully equipped with everything you could need or want for your stay. Margie and Walter go above and beyond to make your stay perfect! We just returned home from our trip and already want to plan our next visit. Look no further for your perfect Montana vacation stay!
