The Pineapple Suite, Whitewater Views steps to Sand

The Pineapple suit is perfect for a couple or a small family. The location was perfect, but I think it's my timing was not so great. I was looking forward to walking to the beach, but there were construction going on. The host did let us know before we got there. Parking is not so great either if you have an SUV or Mini Van. A smaller vehicle like a Mini Cooper would be the ideal size for the amount of space. And the amount of stairs if someone with mobiles issues this is not an ideal property. The host is great he responds to your message quickly. It's a cute place I've spend the mornings on the roof with my coffee watching the waves. The view and location is spectacular. I would stay here again.

Host was very responsive. Home was fully stocked. Property is a bit worn and could use some fresh paint and touch ups. Bedroom and loft are in the same area so no privacy there. Just didn’t notice that in the listing pictures. Lots of stairs to navigate (over 50 of them) so if carrying large luggage or have physical limitations that may be something to consider. No a/c so if it’s warmer weather that may be an issue. We don’t sleep with doors open and were uncomfortable for only one night of our stay. Deck up stairs was wonderful! Beautiful view. Overall it was a good stay. At time of visit access to the beach was closed for construction so we had to walk about 15 minutes to another access point.

Host was good. Took care of any of our needs as they arose. Location was good. Only issue was that there should be mention that the walk to the beach can't be done due to landslide

The location was perfect - a 15 minute walk to town and the beach trail is also very close. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals. The rooftop also offers a gorgeous view of the water and we were able to spend some time there soaking in the sun in the quiet neighborhood.

We loved the location walking distance to beach. We rode our e bikes to the pier and San Juan Capistrano. Enjoyed the ocean view at night along with the sunset.

We had a wonderful time! Can’t beat the proximity to the beach and the views! Our host was prompt to respond whenever we had a question and we had a very memorable visit. Thanks again for everything, looking forward to staying again sometime.

Steps to the beach. We loved having coffee and breakfast on the rooftop patio and looking at the ocean. Also loved all the beach gear! So so nice to have everything we needed! The beds were so comfortable and we all slept great. As said before - lots of stairs but we didn’t mind. Would definitely stay again!

Location couldn’t have been better. Steps from the beach and downtown area. Home had all the amenities to cook and enjoy a comfortable stay. Communication and responsiveness was timely and detailed. We’d come again soon!

This property is roomy and comfortable. The roof deck is a wonderful space.It's not handicapped accessible; It's 42 stairs from the street to the front door and then two flights up to the roof. The parking is ok for short vehicles, but a Suberban would not fit.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Pineapple Suite! It was clean and comfortable. There ARE a lot of stairs. 41 to the front door! More once you are in the unit. Living area and updated kitchen on level one, bathroom, laundry and king bed on level two, and bunk beds and access to the awesome rooftop deck on level 3. This was not an issue for us, but would be for someone with mobility challenges. Just a few minutes walk to the beach. (The walk down is a little steep, but paved and well maintained) The neighborhood is very nice and seemed very safe. The unit did have a few things that could be updated, but for the price and the location we were very happy! The owner was so great to make sure we were comfortable and even sent recommendations for places to eat nearby.

Super close to beach and walking trail. Close to restaurants, bars, grocery within a few miles. Lovely stay. There are a lot of stairs, which was noted in the listing. A little older than I expected- needs a few updates and would be top notch.

The Pineapple Suite was such a treat! We enjoyed amazing vistas from the patios, excellent beach access, and cozy sleep listening to the waves. The communication was good, and space was clean and comfortable. This was a great place to stay for our family. Thank you Edmund!

Lovely, spacious unit in a beautiful neighborhood just down the street from the beach. We loved the rooftop patio, romantic balcony off the bedroom, and the small yard with a fire pit! Edmund is a kind and communicative host. Thank you for an awesome stay!

Perfect setting and close to everything

We had a great time in San Clemente and staying at the Pineapple Suite was integral to our enjoyment. The location was located on a quiet street where the waves breaking could be heard yet still close enough to the pier and the main drags. With the beach 5 minute walk away, the beach toys were well used and enjoyed.

We made the reservation last-minute and Edmund, our host, was great to work with. We loved the accommodations and the views. The short walk down the hill to the beach was awesome. The parking spot was great to have as the area didn't offer much parking availability. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting to have a quiet beach trip with access to all the amenities of San Clemente, CA. It was a perfect outing for us!

Our family of four had a good experience staying here and visiting the beach and Legoland. The management was very helpful and there are many items in the garage for the beach which will be useful, like a wagon and boogie boards and surfboards. I was initially cautious about the lack of AC, but the temperature really does stay magically nice for summer time. For other families with little kids, I'll just give a couple words of caution: yes, this place is very close to the beach but the terrain in San Clemente is extremely hilly. We ended up just driving down a minute or two and using the cheap parking, which was abundant and was always available. But I wouldn't use a wagon or expect kids under 5 to walk if they're not used to it. The other items are a) there's not really a way to block morning sunlight, and b) the loft area and the bed are one very big room at multiple levels, so sound travels. These items didn't cause any problems for our family though. We actually got to bed early and woke up refreshed and ready for fun. And, the arrangements of the stay were super convenient. If we come back to San Clemente, I would stay here again!

This is a 3 tiered condo, but it’s worth it for the balcony view. I was there with my two daughters, but I could only imagine how good it would be with another couple or a small group. Take advantage of the close walk to the beach. There are a lot of good restaurants and grocery stores nearby. We had some maintenance issues. We were out and about for the day and everything was resolved by the time we returned. My daughters loved it and we would definitely book this condo again.

My family loved our stay here. Quiet neighborhood, easy access to the water, nice walk to the pier. The rooftop deck was perfect! The house had everything we needed for the kitchen, restrooms, and bedding. The washer and dryer came in clutch and worked fine. Had fun with the items in the garage, I didn’t know how bad we needed a surf board until we made use of the two provided. Ive never surfed and had no plans to, but I’m so glad I did! We had a blast and would love to stay again.

We had a great family stay here with my 16, 14 and 11 year old kids. Great access to a nice quiet beach. The surf and body boards provided by the host are in excellent condition. We especially enjoyed abundance of outdoor space at the property. My kids are already talking about wanting to come back.

The property was updated and in good condition with good proximity to beach access. Lots of stairs from street level to entry, however, it was advertised as such and we knew it when booking. This was a last-minute decision for a short getaway due to our college-age kids being home for a limited time. The only disappointment was the price increased by a few hundred dollars within an hour from originally checking out options which put a damper on what we wanted to do while staying.
