3 Reasons Why I Fell In Love:
- The sound of morning song birds, ravens, and dappled sunlight filtering through oak trees while enjoying a hot cup of coffee out on the deck.
- The glorious blanket of shimmering stars that came to life while soaking in the hot tub after a long hike.
- Sipping a fine glass of pinot noir in our king sized rocking chair while basking in the waning light of an afternoon sun.
Clean place. Nice furniture and kitchen equipment. High quality, well maintained hot tub. In a secluded beautiful area. Can tell owner put care into place. Would stay here again.
The house was the perfect size for our group of 5 adults. It’s perfectly located close to the Sonoma Hwy and all the wineries, towns, and restaurants. We even saw some deer wandering around the property. Just beautiful and serene. Will definitely stay again.
We rented this place for a girls weekend and it was perfect! Well appointed kitchen for us to cook breakfast and make coffee every morning, and a hot tub to soak at night. Zero issues with wifi, AC, appliances, etc. plenty of space for 5 adults and the beds were SO comfortable which I was not expecting. It’s a little out of the way from downtown but for us that didn’t matter much, as we rented a car. The host was super responsive and friendly.
We had a great family gathering. We visited friends in Santa Rosa, just 15 minutes away. Love the hot tub, very organized and clear instructions. Would stay there again.
Kelly is a superb host. Communicates fast and so upbeat. the house is better than listed. Everything worked great and it is very comfortable. We were two grandparents, daughter and husband and 4 month old baby, and our niece from Peru with her 1 year old. We were not crowded and loved our stay. It really is central to everything, vineyards and glen allen for food and restaurant. Sonoma is down the road and easily reached. We highly recommend both Kelly and her house!!!
Oak Haven is a lovely property featuring - as its name suggests - several spectacular large oaks. It also proved the perfect haven for my spouse and I and her sister and friend visiting from France. As the sister is a great fan of Jack London, we found the adjacency to Jack London State Park ideal, and everyone was delighted with the stay. The instructions for access and use of the property were by far the best I have encountered in my many rental stays. Also, within the house, signs and labels helped answer any remaining questions we might have had. The instructions were really a model for how instructions should be prepared. Also, for readers like ourselves, I'll add that the master bedroom bookshelf was exceptionally well curated; I regret that between touring around and hiking and cooking we had little time to read. And of course the French visitors hit it off with Les Pascals at the patisserie in Glen Ellen of the same name. Overall, Oak Haven was a great experience and a great base for exploring the area. Many thanks, Kelly, for a really enjoyable stay.
Have the best time in Sonoma thanks to our Vrbo. Peaceful serene relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. What an experience. Will be back. Had a cute little bird pecking on our windows in the am to keep us company. So uniquely different. Had the time of our life thanks for our great vacation.
We had a wonderful stay while exploring Napa and Sonoma. Kelly was so kind and was quick to respond to any questions we had. The house was clean, cozy and the hot tub was a great bonus!
The rental was in a great location. There was plenty in the area to do within an hour drive between wineries, sight seeing, and hiking. House was well stocked with amenities needed to stay.
Lovely & quaint place to spend time while visiting the wine country. Kitchen seems well equipped (we didn’t cook though). Love that there is a coffee grinder so we can bring our own beans. The jacuzzi was a relaxing treat among the quietness of the night. Oh, and we spotted a deer in the morning.
A perfect location to enjoy that first cup of morning coffee out on the deck watching the deer in the forest. And great place to unwind in the evening.
It was quite hot the weekend we stayed, but the house is nestled in the trees and stayed cool with the AC units. Hot tub was great, and everything was super clean. We had a great stay!
We had a nice time at this house. While it is a bit away from Sonoma town, there are vineyards, the Jack London state park and other nice places nearby. The house has a good list of recommended nearby vineyards and we enjoyed the Lasseter family vineyard, among others. The house is comfortable and spacious. Kitchen was pretty well stocked, but missing a few key items (oil and basic condiments), but we still managed to cook a big steak and roasted veggie dinner (bought from the Sonoma local farmers market that was open on the weekend) - yummy and fun! We also enjoyed the hot tub and porch. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend it to others.
Such a nice space for a few days-we even saw a young deer in the yard! Master was a great size and the wrap around deck was wonderful to sit out at and bird watch. I panicked getting off the plane and couldn’t find the check in details and Kelly the owner called me from Norway to make sure we got in, and provided an alt contact in case we had any additional needs. Has been super responsive from booking and helpful with recs for area!
Arrived around 4pm. Getting in was simple. The drive up was pretty. It was a wonderful week for weather. We could several meals which turned out great. The jacuzzi was nice and warm. Will definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get away from the city and enjoy some peace and quiet.
We really enjoyed staying at Kelly's property. Spacious, hot tub was an added bonus. Kelly was very easy to communicate with before and during our stay. Within 20 minutes to multiple winery options. Would love to stay again!
This was a 1 month retirement reward that had been delayed because of covid. Great quiet location with short drive into Glen Ellen where there's a great market and bakery. Short drive to many great winery's. Nice large wrap around deck that provided sun or shade. Hot tub was great at end of day, kitchen was well equipped, we did bring some of our own because of long stay. Hope to return in future.
