We absolutely loved this house. It was SO clean and smelled good. Nice and updated. Perfect quiet base for us and our two dogs while we came up to hike some of the 4k’s over my birthday like we do every year. Usually we stay in small cabins but had to bring the dogs this year sort of last minute. I am so glad we found this place. Definitely want to come back in the winter and use the fireplace! We didn’t get to use the screened in porch but it was an awesome feature. A fire pit in the grass and a gas one on the deck was an awesome feature and the game room downstairs was huge! Very nice area for hanging out too. Just wished there was a tv in the living room upstairs! We wound up using a computer when we wanted to chill out with a show at night so we could stay upstairs in the daylight.

The renter was very accomodating and allowed us an early check in. The communication was excellent. The house had everything we needed. There was even wine, beer, and seltzer in the wine fridge. A few things that would be helpful to know when renting here: * The house has a great ping pong table. * The kitchen and living room are pretty. * Bedrooms are cute. * Master bedroom is comfortable and has a great closet. * The only tv is in the finished basement. * There are stairs both inside to get downstairs, to the bedrooms, and both outside entrances. * The outside could use some upkeep, including the grass and porches. * There is a great mudroom. * The game room has comfy chairs, couch, board games and an office setup. There is a dartboard but the darts were all broke, unfortunately. *The carpet in the game room could use an update. The rest of the house has beautiful wood floors. *Bring your own facecloths, toothpaste, body soap, tissues and shampoo. * They had dog bowls available for our pets, although we didn't need them. *Neighborhood was quiet, out of town, but still close enough to everything. We enjoyed our stay!

We were looking to get away for a few days in a nice area. Monks Cottage was perfect. The host was very accessible and the house was very nice, with everything we needed. Very spacious

Great place to stay. The game room was a plus and the fireplace created a cozy atmosphere.

The stay was perfect! The house had everything we needed for adults, young kids and pets. We loved the basement and the fireplace. The open concept kitchen living area made visiting easy. The proximity to the ice castles was amazing at 2 minutes!

Our stay at Monk’s cottage was excellent. Lots of space, fireplace and recreational basement with ping pong. Could have used a dust pan, an electric tea pot and dry firewood. Great stay though. Will definitely stay again when we return to the area.

What a perfect place to stay for after a hike in the white mountains. Perfect location, plenty of space with all necessities included. Check in process was easy and the host was very responsive and accommodating to our needs. Definitely took advantage of the ping pong table in the basement, but wish we had more time to enjoy the deck and fire pit outside! Very dog friendly, but could hardly tell a dog had ever been there with how clean the place was. Will definitely stay here again :)
