The Lily Pond Cottage, Lake Arrowhead, CA

We arrived to lovely twinkling Christmas lights and Christmas music playing. The hot tub was also ready to go. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and bake. The dining table was great for eating, puzzling and playing games. Every room was cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub, BBQing in the back yard, and making smores with the firepit. My grandkids LOVED the basement playroom and spent a lot of time in there. They also loved the swing in the front yard. Nancy was very easy to communicate with and thought of everything to make our trip special! We would definitely return for another visit.

My husband and I have stayed in several vacation rentals over the past 19 years so we know what makes for a pleasant stay, and the Lily Pond Cottage rates tops among the list. Nestled in the quaint Cedar Glen area of Lake Arrowhead, the cottage offers modern amenities in a charming bed and breakfast atmosphere. The home, featuring a handicapped accessible first floor bedroom and full bathroom, has been lovingly updated with top grade materials, appliances and decor throughout, not to mention the most fully stocked kitchen and children’s playroom of any home in which we’ve ever stayed, providing hours of entertainment for our 5 and 8 year old grandchildren - there were even extra provisions for our dogs! If we ever got bored, there was a great selection of books in the living room by tge stone fireplace. We spent many an afternoon and evening relaxing on the patio, playing Scrabble on the largest board we’ve ever used, soothed by the gentle waterfall in the koi pond with an occasional invigorating dip in the hot tub. Our fur babies were always safe in the gated yards, with special grassy relief areas, although we gave leashed attention at night to safeguard against some nocturnal critters common to the lake area. The lake and village were a short drive away and our adult kids enjoyed walking the nearby trails to access those areas. Our gracious Nancy could not have been kinder or more helpful in ensuring our stay provided for our both our comfort and enjoyment.

Just got back from our family vacation at Lily Pond Cottage. Easy check in, and when we opened the door, it just felt like home. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for us. We cook many of our meals and it was so spacious and had everything we needed and room for all of us to do various preparations. The long dining table was perfect for our family style meals and playing games. I don't do stairs so the downstairs bedroom with the attached bathroom and large shower was just what I was hoping for ... and the bed was very comfy. It's in a cute neighborhood and the house stood out with the white picket fence. Nancy was a great hostess and I knew she was just a phone call away if we needed anything. She even put the ramp out for me to get onto the front porch. Having the dual A/C for upstairs and downstairs was a really nice touch too. We felt spoiled with all the special touches that were included in the house and out in the backyard. Cedar Glen is very close with a great little market and some yummy places to grab a bite. We had a wonderful getaway in your beautiful home and would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you soooo much

We rent this beautiful home for our family of 6 adults with my son of 6y old, and my husband in a wheelchair, who was very pleased with all the wheelchair accessibility of this home and so many 5 stars amenities from snacks, towels, toothbrushes shampoo, soap and so much more. super clean and the professional interior design is so beautiful like a brochure looking, Nancy (the hoste) is an excellent handson owner manager she was in contact with us all the time, looking for our confort. Nothing else to say just we so highly recommended and we will love to come back. Thank you.

This property exceeded our expectations. It was exceptionally clean. The kitchen fully stocked with all we could need. Updated bathrooms and amenities felt like a 5 star hotel. Travel cribs appreciated! Play room was wonderful! Host was so easy to communicate with and patiently answered all questions. No complaints at all. We will be back!

first time using VRBO and this property was perfect. Talk about first class. It was also ADA compliant which helped with one of my family. The owners have thought of everything and were really helpful in explaining the entire process. We were as happy as one can be with a five star hotel.

The Lily Pond Cottage is such a beautiful place. Calming, tranquil with everything you need. Nancy has put so much thought into every detail to make your stay perfect. What a wonderful place- we will definitely return!

We have stayed in some beautiful homes but this one is special. The minute you walk in it is peaceful. Not overdone but just done. Spotlessly clean, comfortable high end textiles, and not a single want or wish to be had in the generous and thoughtful kitchen. Communication is also outstanding and quick. A lot of information provided before arrival and throughout the stay as needed. I look for Premier Hosts and good ratings - this was a win and allowed for a true retreat from the city, but feels like home. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
