Summerland, California
A fantastic beach town retreat awaits you at ‘The Lillie House,’ a historic 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom Summerland vacation rental home that sleeps 9! As the second oldest standing house in town (built in 1889), this beautiful Queen Anne style home boasts 19th century charm and character with 1,500 square feet of remodeled living space.
The space
Inside the home, you’ll enjoy sweeping ocean views from the living room and 3 of the bedrooms. Abundant windows coupled with new vaulted ceilings create a bright and airy atmosphere on the second floor. Enjoy sunsets in the evening and wake up in the morning to awe-inspiring views! 2 bedrooms have their own ensuite bathrooms; the third bedroom (King) and fourth bedroom (Queen + Twin) share a bathroom with a large walk-in shower, making the house ideal for 3 couples or 2 small families.
Follow the brick path, marked by palm and bird of paradise trees, to the backyard space where you’ll find a private patio furnished with a dining table and grill.
Guest access
There is a large driveway with one dedicated parking spot (and room for 2 more if you park bumper to bumper) + plentiful safe street parking. Lillie Avenue has sidewalks along its whole length, making walking access to the restaurants, shops and the beach safe and enjoyable.
Other things to note
• There is a separate 1 bedroom rental (The Lillie Pad) with a separate entrance, so there may be other travelers present during your stay. If you're traveling with more than 9 guests, check the availability of this unit.
• The house is on a frontage road adjacent to Hwy. 101. The train passes by on the far side of the highway; amazing views make up for a little noise!
• The Lillie House has been a vacation rental for over 4 years.
• Santa Barbara County requires a 12% “Transient Occupancy Tax”; it is shown as a separate line item in addition to your nightly rate.
