**Welcome to the House on Pine Island.**
Nestled on a dirt, jungly road, this brand-new 3 bedroom, 2 bath oasis is your gateway to serene, laid-back, non-touristy island life. This quiet hideaway is a happy gathering place for families and friends and an ideal spot with WiFi for remote workers.

**Accommodations**
Our home comfortably sleeps up to six guests, featuring:
**1 King Bedroom** Remote, en-suite sanctuary. Open windows to drift to sleep with a tropical breeze and the sound of creaking old bamboo.
**2 Queen Bedrooms** Perfect for family or friends, each room is inviting and relaxing with soft linens. One guest room has a softer bed, the other bedroom has a firmer bed and a TV.
**2 Modern Baths** Equipped with basic soap, shampoo, towels, and a blow dryer for your convenience.

**Amenities**
Cook up a storm with local mangos and daily caught seafood. Chefs will find our kitchen well-equipped, complete with modern appliances, reverse osmosis water, and ample work space on the kitchen island that is comfortably open to the great room and dining room. Grill your fresh catch on our charcoal grill.

Relax in a rocking chair with your morning coffee on the screened lanai. You will hear bamboo trees creak when they sway in a soft breeze. Brilliant stars steal the show at evening gatherings. The dining table on the lanai seats 6. The sliding glass doors fully retract into the wall making the screened lanai part of the living space.

We have a washer and dryer, laundry and dishwasher detergent, an iron, beach towels, and sand toys.

**Nature’s Neighbors**
You might see a wild peacock or Shelly, our resident gopher tortoise, who often calls our backyard home. She has a few nearby homes and loves to wander around.

**Accessibility**
We strive to make our home as welcoming as possible. We are not officially ADA compliant so please look at our pictures to see if the friendly layout can meet your needs. We hope so. We have a shower chair and a 4” slope wheelchair ramp at the garage entrance to the laundry room. We can move the small ramp to the front door entrance at your request.

**Plenty to do**
You will be near shows, museums, and tourist attractions in Ft Myers.

35 miles to Ft Myers Beach. There is often live music and sand volleyball. Young children can play barefoot in the shallow water that very gradually gets deeper. The sand is so perfect for sand castles that there is an annual professional sand sculpting competition. The beaches on Sanibel are also about 35 miles from Pine Island. Wear water shoes because the Sanibel beaches have abundant sea shells. Cayo Costa is a state park with no roads or electricity but there are restrooms and a small shop that has ice cream bars. You can only get there by boat. A water taxi boards in Bokeelia, near our house. Cayo Costa beaches are powdery and pristine; you can find your own isolated spot.

There are NO BEACHES on Pine Island because it is surrounded by protected mangrove trees but it is where the fish feed. Some of the best tarpon fishing in the world is off of Pine Island.

You will want to rent a kayak. There are estuaries that are easy to paddle to in the calm, chest-deep water. Bring binoculars and a camera and find a little clearing of sand for a picnic while you listen to and see abundant bird life, dolphins, manatees and boats. You can park your boat in our driveway and launch at the local marina.

Pine Island is a put-in site on the Great Calusa Blueway. The 190 mile paddling trail meanders through coastal waters via easy-to-identify brown-and-white signs through shallow areas away from powerboat traffic.

Pine Island is close to eco tours and nature trails. Truly a bird watcher paradise.

**Geography**
Pine Island is 18 miles long and 2 miles wide in the Gulf in SW Florida. It is surrounded by small islands.

Pine Island is comprised of 3 villages. Bokeelia, on the in north end where our house is, is lush and includes most of the island's agriculture. Pine Island is a water and bird lover’s paradise.

After you experience a carefree day at a beach or a spirited adventure, come on home. You’ll be smilin’ on Pine Island!

The house was welcoming and fun to walk into. We loved every minute there. It was immaculate, relaxing, and comfortable with delightful, unique island decor. We were the first guests in this brand new house. The owners were great and thought of everything. Sweet things to do on Pine Island. A lot to do off the island. We planned this as a side trip when we were traveling but it was a true vacation. We collected seashells and swam at Bowman’s Beach on Sanibel. The water’s perfect in July! The sunset from a pier a few miles from the house was breathtaking. We asked for a late checkout so we could kayak. We explored inlets around a nearby16 acre island. It felt like we had traveled back to primordial times. Fish jumped out of the water around us. We paddled up to a huge slow tortoise, pelicans, egrets, with sounds of calling and singing birds. A great experience that I’d recommend to friends.
