The Honeycomb Retreat-Get-Away or Get-Together

There was plenty of room for everyone to gather for a couple days. Beds were comfy. The area was beautiful, the holiday lights across the lake were stunning. It was a great time with family.

This house/location was perfect for our week long bass fishing tournament

Outside could use some attention. Inside had a moldy smell but house is very old. Great location.

Property definitely needs some work.

This place is awful, it has fleas, roaches and hair in the tubs. The host wouldn’t reply to our concerns when we got there. Ceiling was falling in one spot from water damage due to roof leak. If I would have know I could put photos in my review I would have taken some. Vrbo should remove this place off their site. I gets 1 star due to having its own boat dock.

Older model home but it was a nice place.. its immaculately clean! It could use some upgrades and a little tlc. But the house is a step back in time and very spacious! The boathouse and the dock was a plus.. it was wonderful for the grandkids and made swimming very easy! Plus u can dock ur boat and jetsky very easily and not have to worry about it. The house is in a good neighborhood.. its really quite! I actually hated for the weekend to come to an end and would definitely rent again!

Furniture was scary. Looked like roadside furniture. Both bathrooms were terrible. House had lots of broken flagstone walking to door. Possible accidents waiting to happen. Boathouse doors didn't work. No hose to clean fish.Was very disappointed as a whole. Will not come back. This is the second place we've been disappointed with. Out of 2 places.

Owner was extremely helpful and communicated promptly. Very nice. House needs work and housekeeping should step it up a notch for fee charged. Great location. Thank you.

Our time at the lake was amazing! Enjoyed Cathedral Caverns and the US Space and Rocket Center. Enjoyed the birds and an albino squirrel in the yard. Thanks for a relaxing, clean place to stay.

Great Location and Neighborhood. Could really be nice if home had a few upgrades to the furniture. But overall it was a good place to stay and memories were made. We had a hiccup in the beginning but our Host Jim was right on top of it! Thanks again Jim!

The place was very nice, being on the lake was the perfect place to be. More than plenty enough room.

Last minute vacation chose to do a fishing trip on lake guntersville weather was great House was very accommodating Little big for two people sleeps 11 owner was very accommodating use of boathouse was very nice for our boat everything is new in the boathouse one of the boat lifts was not finished yet but still new and very nice other boat lift already had a boat on it garage doors have not been fully operational yet because of being new but did work manually quiet neighborhood besides the dog next door barking All in all very nice quiet weekend on the water and broken egg is a very good place to go to breakfast while you're on the water at City harbor they're bloody Marys are great

Bottom line: if you want to spend your days on the lake fishing and boating with a place to sleep, this may work. I had family coming in for Thanksgiving and after walking inside, my wife and I immediately found another place to stay. Basically I paid for two rentals during a 4 day weekend. The pictures don't show the exact state/condition of the property. There is a twin bed in what looks like used to be a porch, and another twin in the living room. The bunk room downstairs is not nice. The other bedrooms are just okay. The one bathroom I looked in had a tiny short shower head and toilet paper in the toilet. The kitchen looks and feels old, and the circuit breaker box is exposed in the wall. Overall, I was very disappointed in the condition of the property. I'm not trying to sound entitled either, I spent plenty of time living in tents in the military, but I didn't want to stay here for a holiday with my family and have them feel like we weren't trying to pamper them.

House is easy to find. The View and the Area is great. Will Have plenty if Wildlife to see in the yard. Beds are comfortable. The yard is nice and open for kids to play. Dock is very nice and great for fishing or just sitting and relaxing. The house is older. 1 bathroom is off the kitchen Shower is Small! The other Bathroom is down the hall the Shower head does have where you can use as a sprayer. But if you use it as a Shower it is for Short people or kids. The Washer works great. The dryer is in the garage. Dishwasher works. Some of the lights will flicker when turning them on mainly the light by the door. There is no light about the sink. It is wired for one but no light. The House is functional and given some updates would be amazing. The Bunk is down stairs and musky but the dehumidifier works great. Kids didn’t want to sleep down there but loved the couches. Wi-Fi worked great as well. Would possibly stay again if some updates were done. Manager was great to work with and would rent from him again.

Downstairs room is actually a basement with crawlspace exposed behind nailed up sheets. We did not allow our children to sleep there. Boat dock made nice place to swim/fish

Loved this property! It was suitable for lots of people and the basement was great for the pre-teen and teens due to the great noise canceling benefits. The water view is absolutely beautiful and you can swim right off the dock. Would certainly love to stay again!

We enjoyed staying at the lake and loved all the single beds sprinkled around the house! Dogs loved swimming in the lake :) Comfy couches and beds.

Large house, lots of room. Nice covered porch with ceiling fan that looked at the lake. Dock was in good shape and allowed for much fishing and fun. Owner responded to all communication. Thank you!

A lot of space. This has a camp feel to the property. Like a boys scout sleepover. Not too shiny so don’t worry about messing anything up. My kids caught their first fish here so the price was priceless to see that. God bless y’all.
