The Hill Country House

We could not be more pleased with our weekend at this beautiful home. It was perfectly located for our needs, had quick access to places like coffee (JP's!) and even though it feels like a remote getaway, there's lots of options for food delivery! This was so helpful for us, as we have young kids, so we couldn't always go out to eat. The home had very thoughtful touches, like toys and a pack n play for our kids and a fully-loaded kitchen, with everything you could ask for to feel at home. We would absolutely stay here again and in-fact I did not want to leave!

This house is close to town and distilleries! It is super clean and a very nice home! Silvia is so accommodating and quick to answer questions! Highly recommend her home and the area:)

We had a lovely time. The house was nice and the property was beautiful. We saw deer at dusk and sat outside most evenings. Communication was wonderful. All of my questions were answered, and I was even provided extra information about things to do in the area.

The house was immaculate when we arrived. I tend to re-clean things on arrival, and this was among the cleanest rentals we have stayed at. The layout worked well for us, and we had enough space both to spread out and spend time together. The kitchen has great counterspace and was relatively well-stocked – the only thing we couldn’t find was a baking sheet. The house has a lot of towels, extra blankets and pillows, etc. There were also a lot of extra paper towels and toilet paper, and the house had shampoo/conditioner, laundry detergent, dish detergent, etc. The porch is wonderfully shaded at all times of day with great sunset views. The property has a nice, manicured trail and my kids loved playing in the horse barn. We also did s’mores at the firepit. It’s 15 minutes from the center of town by car – HEB, etc. We went fishing at Pedernales, horseback riding in Blanco, kayaking down in San Marcos, and exploring at Blue Hole Park in Wimberly. Check in and check out were very easy and Silvia is always super responsive. Overall, this house is amazing. Two small things to know: The bedrooms did not have en suite bathrooms - this did not impact our stay. There is also another rental on the property which is not visible from the house, but if occupied, you may see a car on the driveway (or their dog will come up to the house or your dogs); this also was not a big deal for us but is something to know. Thanks for a relaxing stay!

This house is just what we were looking for. We enjoyed relaxing at the house and hiking nearby trails. It was comfortable and beautifully decorated.
