Great location and big house with cool rooms and a good view of Haystack Rock!

The beach is literally at the doorstep. Amazing. The beach view was phenomenal and the house was great.

View and location was fantastic. Bathtub in the master was odd. We could not stand up in the tub and had to watch our head. Overall, very relaxing.

Location is absolutely perfect to watch the sun set over the water or literally step out onto the sand. Kids loved to run around on the beach. Town is only a block away. Home was clean and simple, no-frills but everything we needed for a super comfortable stay. Home is more spacious than in photos. Kinda wish the furniture on the enclosed porch was a bit more comfortable but couches in adjoining living room were very cozy. We all loved it, ages 5 to 75! Obviously a very cherished home! We would love to come back for another stay in the future.

Fantastic location. The house was wonderful for a large group. My family are great eaters and had large pots and kitchen items stocked and didn’t need to bring anything. It was a memorable weekend. Would love to make this an annual gathering Mack even provided a sunny weekend in March!

I love this house! Rustic charm is a great description. Fantastic views, fantastic location right on the sand. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. Well stocked with everything we needed. Clean and feels like a home away from home. I hope we'll be back next year!

Great Location!!

What a great location! It was a stormy weekend and we loved the view of the ocean and Haystack Rock. The house was great for a group and super cozy.

Property is a bit worn,as many people have written,but as they have also written, it’s a wonderful place to stay. Fantastic location, well maintained, and an incredible view (ocean is literally a couple hundred feet away from the house at high tide). A perfect place for a large family gathering or ?. Highly recommend it!

The host was very accommodating, and the house is warm and well-equipped. You simply can’t beat the location.

We absolutely love this place! You can’t find a place like this right on the beach like this. The house is older but that doesn’t bother us because we are right on the beach. They also allow dogs and we are so thankful to bring out doggie family members with us. The upstairs shower is a little bit of a drawback because I have to bend over to fit and my husband has to take a shower in his knees because it is so short. I am only 5’2. We have kids and it is so nice to not have to lug everything to the beach and the kids can just run out to the beach and we can even just sit on the porch. The kitchen has everything we need. :) we had 8 people in the house this time and it works perfectly, we didn’t even use one room.

This rustic property sits in a truly dreamy location that overlooks Haystack rock and Cannon Beach. The property had more than enough space and amenities to accommodate our group of 6 adults and an 1.5 year old. Like a lot of properties on the Oregon coast, it is on the older side - but everything functioned well and the decor is charming. Would definitely stay again!

The best location you could ask for to be on the beach! You step out back and your feet are in the sand. Perfect walking location to places to eat and downtown Cannon beach. Will return

House was awesome. We had a great time. The only thing i wish i had realised before i chose my room was, the upstairs shower is super short. I am over 6 feet and it quickly became a family joke. We are so greatful that we were allowed to lease this property and we hope to again.

The location & view of the Haystack is top notch! The neighbors are nosey and I annoying because she stands, staring, hands on hips, waiting for you to do something she doesn’t approve of - uncomfortable!The upstairs bathroom is unusable as a shower - bath only and broken hand held shower head mount. Hot showers need to be spread out to enjoy it hot.Light bulbs out in the hall. Needs a remodel update!Beds are just OK.

Absolutely loved the location. Plenty of room in the house. Needs updating for sure. Amenities are scarce in the house like no soap and most light bulbs are out.

We spent a few nights and had a truly remarkable time! Our extended family all enjoyed the proximity to the beach and haystack rock. The home's location is perfect, walkable to town, very walkable to convenience store (2 minute walk) and literally ON THE BEACH with the best view of Haystack! We made truly exceptional memories here thank you so much!

We had such a great time at this beach house! The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, and we loved how spacious and welcoming it felt. The host was also responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend - would stay here again!

As described. Nice location, right on the beach and close to downtown. This is definitely a “rustic” place, but it had everything we needed.

Haystack House has older wood finishes but well described as such by the owners. You can't beat being in town and the views of Haystack are picturesque. Our party was only 2 but a larger family would be very happy here. Booking Haystack House will be part of our future plans to the Oregon Coast.

Facility is a little tired, but very comfortable. Location hard to beat. Beach access, view - excellent!, Varied separate rooms worked perfectly for our large family

It is perfectly located. My dad is 88 and walking on the beach is no longer an option for him, but to be able to sit in the sunroom that overlooks the beach was perfect for him. It's a warm and cozy home with plenty of space for a large family. The kitchen was well stocked; just bring your food.Would be a great location if you had littles as well. The access to the beach being straight out the door

Beachfront property! Too bad that the windows were so filthy that you couldn't see out...really. The place was very dirty. The place was very large and cut up into many spaces with light switches that were turning on lights in odd places. Too bad..it has alot of potential.

Plenty of room for a big group. Wisconsin relatives awed by the superb views. As close to the bea.ch as you can get. Beautiful kitchen very well stocked.

The location is just amazing! It’s quirky house with enough beds for a total of 14. It is not clean (stains on carpets and towels, and dirty couches with smelly throw pillows), and could use some general TLC. It smells VERY musty which seems like a bit of a health risk. Thankfully, the weather allowed for us to have windows and doors open most of the time. There was also a broken fan in the kitchen and broken smoke alarm in hallway. The fridge was clean and there is a full size washer and dryer and utility sink in laundry room. There is also conflicting info on signs and directions on property compared with instructions received online. Positives are lots of games, and well equipped with dishes and a big table for meals. King bed and bathroom plus a single bed upstairs. All other bedrooms and two bathrroms on main floor. One block walk to Sleepy monk coffee and only slightly farther to Macgregor’s whiskey bar. I would give a higher rating if it hadn’t been moldy.

Beautiful Romantic stay. House is more likely booked by families , but we wanted to have direct beach access and views. Enjoyed the fireplace and easy walk to town.

Location and view is fantastic … does need quite of bit of updating if even just little things like new small throw rugs for bathrooms and fireplace and an overall deep cleaning. Layout is a bit funky but creates enough separation of rooms and bathrooms for multiple families to share.

Our stay was exactly as expected. The house had everything we needed and the location was the best!!! Close to town and right on the beach!!!

Perfect location at Cannon Beach. On the beach. Older property with wood paneling everywhere. Gives it a little log cabin feel. Family enjoyed the trip.

We have friends in Cannon Beach and have been there many times. Our oldest daughter got engaged in front of Haystack. It is their second anniversary so we decided to splurge and rent on the beach. Loved having Haystack right outside the window. The property could use a little TLC but we enjoyed the property. The property manager was very responsive to our needs.

Enjoyed this rustic beach house with our adult children and grandchildren for 6 nights /spring break. Plenty of space inside to spread out yet come together around the big kitchen table and sunroom to enjoy the most amazing views Cannon Beach has to offer. If you are looking for a place where your kids can safely be outside while in full view from inside, and to have the best location for evening sunsets , this is the place to make family memories . We too had difficulty shutting and locking the door to the outside patio . Kitchen was well stocked with most every pan and utensil we needed. This is someone’s home , not hotel managed , so we were sure to bring paper towels , TP, paper plates , foil etc.. and were thankful as we would have run out. The home next door is being redone hence the workers started early and worked late. They were all very friendly and the noise was not noticeable most of the time. This may be that we were so enthralled with listening to the waves which made up for a little hammering here and there . Our daughters commented that the photos on VRBO do not do this place justice. They loved sitting drinking coffee in the early ams taking in the view and being toes in the sand in seconds for long beach walks and evening bonfires. I can imagine Haystack House would have something to offer in any season

The house was great for a larger group and the location can't be beat. Walking distance to shops, coffee, food and haystack rock.
