The Happy Place, Kingsize bed.

The house is old and smelly. The instant we walked into the house my wife had an allergic reaction to the mold and old smell in the house. We vacated immediately.

The cleanliness was well below expectations and ruined our entire stay-kitchen countertops we well as kitchen table and living room desk were covered in a layer of filth. Couldn’t walk around without shoes on-very hard to do with small kids so we resorted to washing their feet every night before bed. We did way more cleaning than we should have had to do. The host did reach out the day of to let us know the prior renters smoked in the house even though there is a non smoking policy-the house smelled the entire time.The rental had good reviews which is why we selected to stay here so I would like to think it was a one time situation based on previous renters but I would highly recommend a professional cleaning company as it was apparent one is not currently being used. Attempted to reach out to the host before posting this review. Host asked if there was anything she would could to make it better, but quickly realized she didn’t mean what she said.

Very clean, spacious, my family enjoyed

We were in town from NJ for a field hockey tournament over the holidays. Rather than stay in a hotel, we rented this property as a home base. The house was clean and cozy and we enjoyed having family meals in the kitchen and spending time together in the family room. The neighborhood is a quiet cul-de-sac and convenient to restaurants, groceries, gas and the River City Sports complex.

Great location, grocery store right around the corner. Quick access to anywhere in Richmond via Chippenham. Kim was always ready to help at any time. We really enjoyed our stay. We’ll stay there again.

Very relaxing

We loved our stay at the Happy Place! This house has an eclectic, homey feel. Lots of space! Was very clean. Nice quiet neighborhood, and close to Richmond for some great fun and restaurants. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Nice back attached patio with lots of seating and a charcoal grill, and all you need to tend it, glass door leads into the sitting room. Beds are comfortable, one is extra tall and on the firm side. Plenty of linens stocked over the washer/dryer in the hall and laid out, ready in the bedrooms. There is a ramp to the front door. Owner lives near by and very responsive to questions.

MS. KIMBERLY IS ABSOLUTELY VERY RESPONSIVE

This was the best location to stay the neighborhood was quite and it put us close to our job sites in the area hope to stay there again

The listing was as depicted. The owner was very responsive and answered all our questions. She even brought us a new coffee pot!
