The Hanscom House 8 MIN walk to DT!

We had a wonderful stay!! Gabi our host was great! She was very helpful and attentive. The house is so cozy and cute. The beds are very comfortable. They have everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and fun!

This house is amazing! It is beautifully decorated, historically preserved, and still modern. We would LOVE to come back again. It is close to downtown, great local food, and you can walk to the coffee shop every morning if you’d like. The hostess was incredibly gracious and friendly.

Hanscom House was full of character. It had a charming historic feel while also being fully modernized for comfort. The owners have done a wonderful job with the place and were very accommodating.10/10 would recommend!

It was a birthday weekend for myself and my sister. There were 8 of us total and the house was perfect. We walked to everything and were able to leave the cars parked in the driveway.

Our experience in this home, with Gabi and in Mt Dora was great. The home was fully stocked with everything we needed. Although we brought our own supplies to cook our Christmas dinner, everything we needed was there. We love historical/ old homes and this house checks all boxes. Creeks in the wooded staircase, wavy/ bubbled glass in the windows, the fireplace lit and living room warm upon our arrival. There are many unique decorations throughout the home including small mushrooms all around. We actually challenged each other to see if we could count/ find them all. Everything was clean. No complaints!!!The walk to Downtown Mt Dora was approximately 8-9 minutes. The Christmas tree and lights were incredible. If you’re looking to stay in an old historic home that’s pet friendly and minutes from downtown, we recommend this home. (This home is in a historic neighborhood so you should understand that other old homes may not be fully restored yet. It just adds to the charm of the area. We say this due to other comments we have read regarding dilapidated properties in the area. It does not take away from the experience and or this home).

The house was the perfect size for our family. We could have local family visit us on the outdoor deck and indoor space without feeling squeezed. It’s a very comfortable, cozy home. We would come back!
