The Garden House of Downtown Manitou Springs, Colorado

Such a cute cottage! Perfect location. Excellent communication with the owner, we just loved it! Only thing I would request is a French press as I brought my own coffees and couldn’t use it. We will definitely be back!!

Great location. Walk to downtown Manitou Springs. Clean and cute inside. It sits on the same parking lot as the inns behind the house.

The house was lovely. Very clean and super comfortable. Beds were great! Very spacious. Quiet. Short walk to everything. With Manitou’s efficient bus system we didn’t have to drive much. I would stay here again.

The home was very well prepared and had everything we needed for our weekend. It was clean and thoughtfully arranged. It could use a little more privacy on window coverings. The one and only thing that caught us off guard was that this house is in the parking lot of a small hotel/inn. Within ten minutes of our arrival (at 10 p.m.), we had two guests from the inn knock on our door asking for assistance. After that first 10 minutes, however, it did not happen again because we unscrewed the lightbulb by the front door. Overall, a lovely experience with a very attentive host. Everything worked out and we really enjoyed our stay.

Great location on the main road of downtown Manitou Springs! We were able to walk everywhere we needed--although the Pike's Peak train station is uphill and took about 30 minutes. Nice kitchen and full size fridge. We mostly ate out, but did use the oven for a frozen pizza one night. Nice bathrooms and plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out. Plenty of parking.

It was a great stay. Very convenient to downtown Manitou & easy to walk everywhere. The house was comfortable & very clean. We enjoyed our stay!

The property is nicely situated on the edge of beautiful Manitou Springs with easy access to other nearby sites. Although it's only two bedrooms, it accommodated 5 adults and two children.

Had a fun and festive weekend participating in the Carnivale celebration

This was such a great weekend getaway. Close to great Manitou Springs activities, enjoyable even in the midst of a snowstorm.

We enjoyed our stay! The Beds were the best we have ever had at any other VRBO! Super cozy and comfortable! Location to walk into town was perfect, with great restaurants and fun for the kids!

It was a great space to getaway while hiking Garden of the Gods and the Incline!

Grea Stay

We really looked forward to our stay in Manitou and were excited about the prospect of walking to the downtown district from this cute cottage. What we didn’t know is this dwelling sits in a motel parking lot and is the former motel office. The sign for the motel stands just a few feet from the front door, which is conveniently excluded from the exterior photos. Guests checking in at 2a.m. were knocking on our door trying to get admitted to their room. Window coverings are extremely thin and cheap and offer little to no privacy and every car entering the parking lot in the evening lights up the entire cottage making it very difficult to sleep. The kitchen is poorly furnished which is contrary to the deacription and the “hardwood floors” are actually thin vinyl plank layed over a very uneven surface. On the bright side, the cottage is cute and the living room furniture is comfortable. However after driving across the country to stay, we were very disappointed and cut our time in Colorado short. We communicated with the host and I believe he may have been amenable to adjusting our rental fee due to the misleading descriptions provided but VRBO has so far stood in the way of any refund. Renters beware!

This house is very unassuming on the outside but beautifully decorated on the inside. Everything is new and clean and functioning. We made two meals during our stay and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The location is perfect to walk into the town. My only complaint (and nobody’s fault) is that two groups knocked on the door thinking it was the office to the Inn next door. There are signs everywhere saying that it is not the office, so that’s on them. Overall, I would highly recommend it and would stay here again.

We would love to stay there again.
