Anchorage, Alaska
This log home, constucted in 1955 was built by a bush pilot who transported his friend and flight surgeon to remote "bush" villages. The flight surgeon built the house directly next door (and is also available for booking). Eventually, this house was purchased by a Swiss artist who painted fun murals on many of the walls and ceilings, most of which have been carefully maintained over the years. The house is in beautiful condition and extremely unique. Very close to Downtown Anchorage, Universities, the Medical District, and petroleum companies.
This house has three bedrooms a master with an ensuite bath, one queen room with full bath in the hall, and one twin + trundle room with an ensuite toilet and shower. There is a sleeper sofa in the TV room next to the twin/trundle room and a high-quality, self-inflating twin mattress as well. This house can comfortably sleep up to 8 guests.

Just wonderful! Beau was a great host.
This place is great. Clean & comfy with unique and pleasing decor. Walking distance groceries, bus routes and downtown area. Only a $9 cab (yellow cab) ride to downtown if you dont want to walk. Good communications with own. Thanks.
The property was clean and convenient for our stay during our visit to anchorage…..so much more comfortable than a hotel! The property was quiet and everyone had their own space and bathroom. We really enjoyed the murals and home feeling of the house. We ran the Anchorage Mayors Marathon and then we’re able to relax at the house after our run.
We booked this house for my sons and groomsmen for 3nights. It was absolutely perfect for our private rehearsal dinner, and staging area for getting things ready for the Anchorage wedding. Beau was helpful and responsive, and we look forward to another stay in this house.
Very responsive and accommodative host. House backyard has a secluded feel while being located in a busy area.
