The Garden Suite is a one bedroom suite. This beautiful space offers a queen bedroom, a spacious dining room and living room with a queen sleeper sofa for two children under 10, a charming gas stove to heat the unit, a foodie-equipped kitchen, a modern renovated bathroom with rain shower and heated floors, and a private front porch shaded by an old maple tree. Centrally located in the main town of Picton, wine country is 20 minutes away by car in all directions. Stock the wine fridge with Prince Edward County famous Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling. Make a family dinner in our fully renovated chef's kitchen from the farm stands and markets in the area (and please make use of our kitchen garden in the summer months).Fantastic pubs featuring live music and local craft beer, an indie bookstore and local artist galleries are just some of what you will find a stone's throw from our backyard. The famous beaches of Prince Edward County and the stunning dunes of Sandbanks Provincial Park are a fifteen minute drive away and we offer you beach towels and a beach bag to make the most of your vacation. Please note that linens for the sofa bed must be requested in advance as it is not left made up. High chair and pack and play available upon request.     We spent a week in Picton to escape renovations going on in our home. The Ferg was an ideal spot -- a beautiful old house that has been divided into several units. Ours was on the ground floor with direct access to the exterior -- which was especially convenient. The unit was comfortably spacious, with great light. Furnishings were spare, but comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. The bathroom was compact, but lots of room to lay out toiletries and a great shower and abundant hot water. The location, on a quiet street on block in from Main St., was extremely convenient to grocery shopping -- the Metro was a 4-minute walk away. The Royal was a 9-minute walk. All in all it was a great visit. The hosts were extremely responsive and the woman responsible for cleaning stopped by twice to see if we needed anything. Highly recommend it!

    Excellent location, close to dining and shopping. Spacious living area. Minor maintenance issues (blind closer missing, a/v needs upgrade). All considered, good value.

    Thanks for a great stay. I hoped to get away and retreat a little. Excellent location and close to some of the lovely shops with local makers of all sorts. Also amazing to be so close to the millennium trail! Love to come again!

    Excellent location!! Beautiful Old house .. worked perfectly for us…maybe a microwave and a bigger TV but …this would not stop us from coming again or telling friends and family…

    The property comes just as advertised in the listing. A 2 minute walk to the main strip in Picton it was perfectly situated. Host was very responsive to any queries as well. Would definitely consider coming back!

    This was a great place stay and perfect for experiencing PEC. We had the apartment completely to ourselves, but it is part of a larger home divided into three apartments, which means you have a porch, a backyard, and barbecue available. We loved that dogs were welcome, and our pup loved sitting out on the patio or in the backyard with us. The location in the heart of Picton is perfect, as restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and grocery stores are all a 5-10 minute walk away. It’s also only a 15 minute drive from Sandbanks (an annual pass for which was included) and close to many of the areas excellent wineries. The check-in and checkout process was very smooth, and the use of a number pad to lock and unlock the door was very convenient. Overall very enjoyable and we would certainly stay here again.

    Enjoyed staying here as it was walkable to everywhere in the village. The apartment was very clean and the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed. I would recommend this VRBO.
