Lexington, Kentucky
The Edward Fisk House is named after one of the leading American modernist painters. The home is subject of two of his paintings when he lived through the archway in Hampton Court.
Located in the center of Downtown Lexington just three blocks from the new Rupp Arena and one block from Transylvania University in the city's historic residential district, the Edward Fisk House was built in 1919 as an English country house and maintains many of its original charm.
We really enjoyed our stay. I got to see all of my grandchildren. The house made all the difference. We could sit together and talk. It’s hard to get together when you are in four hotel rooms.
Really unique place, lots of great places close by and a perfect location
We loved this home and it was perfect for our girls business trip. The bottle of wine and fresh flowers throughout were so thoughtful.
The property is absolutely first class. The only thing better than the house is the property manager! Abby is attentive and professional and assisted me every step of the way! We could not recommend this property enough! We hope to be back soon. Thomas T
We had a group of 6 staying and all had plenty of space. Fantastic stay and great hosts that showed us around the house personal.
From the moment Abby greeted us at her home we knew we were going to have a wonderful stay in Lexington. This house is so beautifully curated. With fabulous art, scrumptious linens, gorgeous rugs and, well appointed antique furnishings. It felt as if we were staying in a luxurious hotel. A bottle of wine, a lovely card, fresh flowers and plants in almost every room, were such a welcomed gift after a long day traveling. We were also spoiled with the use of an extremely well stocked kitchen. There is an adorable half bath under the stairs near the kitchen. My husband and two teenagers had more than enough space. We could have easy brought another two or three people. There is a newly renovated bathroom in the master suite via an office/sitting room. This gave us more room to spread out upstairs. The second bathroom is also newly renovated. There are two more twin beds and a bathroom upstairs in kids room which looks like something out of a magazine. The beds in all the rooms we slept in were very comfortable. I loved finding new places to sit and read both inside and outside. Abby and her husband have an extensive collection of books. My husband and teens enjoyed the very large TV in casual Living Room. The neighborhood is historic and extremely cool to explore. We were in-town for Family weekend at UK and felt like were close to everything including the University and the restaurants on Main street and a short drive to Chevy Chase neighborhood (8min) and about 10-15 minutes to get to the Summit for more dining and shopping. I really cannot say enough about our wonderful experience. We truly felt like honored guests. Thank you Abby!!
