Wetumpka, Alabama
This beautiful property was home to civil rights activists Clifford and Virginia Durr. This is a 4 bed 3 bath home with outdoor swinging beds, dining for 8 under the century old scuppernong arbor, a rear deck that can easily seat 20, and the swimming holes and waterfalls of Corn Creek right out back. Come have a cocktail on the back deck, play a game of horseshoes and hang a hammock by the water rushing over the granite boulders and finally relax. We look forward to seeing you!!
The space
The Durr house is a normal home with all the things you would expect. There is a master bed/bath with a garden tub and shower, one guest room with small bathroom with shower, a guest room and kids room with a shared bath in the hallway. Off the kids room there is a play room full of board games and a giant TV which is connected to internet. Outside are several great places to dine, a large front and back yard and the creek which flows through the back yard.
Guest access
You will have the while place to yourself!
Other things to note
We have had some reports from guests (airbnb and others) that this house still contains the ghost of Clifford J. Durr. The good news is that everyone agrees the house had a very good mood about it and all accounts of Cliff are of a very friendly trickster
