The Colonial Estate at Harpers Ferry. Indoor Pool

Host was extremely responsive. The property is exactly as pictured. Great for large groups, good location, and tons of space for all!

The house was beautiful and large enough for our 19 family members. The hosts were very responsive to our few minor issues. We would highly recommend this house for large groups!

This was a great location for our annual corporate retreat with enough beds/baths for a group of 15 work colleagues who each needed their own bed, and no one had to sleep on a top bunk! Also loved that there were so many bathrooms. The firepit was fantastic, and the kitchen was roomy. The basement game room and the pool were great amenities, too! Overall great experience - the only thing that would have made it better would be access to a second fridge.

The house was beautiful, large, well stocked, and clean. The pool was wonderful and there was a nice area for walking/hiking down the road. The basement unfortunately flooded on our last night, and some people had their things ruined. Besides for that hiccup, everything else was very good for our stay!

Amazing property in an amazing location for our family reunion!! Cathy and Bryan provided seamless check-in and info prior to our stay, and we had zero issues. Rooms were clean and the house was big enough to fit our party of 29. Loved the fire pit, the indoor swimming pool (and safety features for the kids), and that we were so close to Harper’s Ferry and Charles Town. I would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful house! Plenty of room for a large group. The pool room was a hit! Toys for the babies was really nice too!

This is a wonderful facility for fun, entertaining and connecting. We loved the swimmingn pool that was suitable for all ages, the recreation area had a variety of means of entertainment, The library/game/toy room was sutable for many purposes.

The property is beautiful inside and out and the owners have really thought of everything to make your stay perfect. They are super responsive! The house and grounds are spotless and comfortable! The indoor pool was a huge hit with our grandchildren and they also loved the well appointment game room in the basement. We went snow tubing (so close to the house) and it was a blast. The location is so convenient to so many of the great things Harpers Ferry has to offer!

We spend Christmas with our adult children (4) and their families every year on MLK weekend. The place was everything we could have wanted for a home away from home. Spacious, clean, well stocked! Great Holiday weekend for us!

Our large family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely, spacious, and well-cared for home. There was plenty of room for us all to spread out, whether to enjoy the indoor pool or to shoot pool in the game room. The home was exactly as described on the website. The owners decorated it for Christmas, which was a wonderful touch. They were very responsive with all correspondence and were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this home!

The rental met all our expectations and more. We stayed over Christmas. House was decorated for the holidays. There were 19 of us and we had beds we didn’t use.We would rent it again.

Lots of things to do, and enough space for all to enjoy. We had a great time!

Colonial Estate was perfect for our large family in town for a wedding. The house was beautiful and big enough for everyone to spread out and have their own space. It was easy to get to from BWI and lots to do in the area. Cathy was great to work with too.

This was our 3rd year staying here. The house accommodates us all pretty well and the indoor pool is always a hit with the kids. The location is a huge advantage as some of the families are within 1½ hour travel so they can commute back and forth for the two days. This works better for their families. We had it booked Fri night through Monday morning. Unfortunately the well pump failed late Saturday evening and we were without water. Cathy and Brian did bring many gallons of water on Saturday night and contacted the plumber who said he would be there Sunday morning. Not knowing the extent of the failure or how long it would take to have running water, we had to tell a couple of the families not to come on Sunday. The plumber did have it fixed by noon but it did alter the entire Sunday plan and we weren’t able to have the family get together we had hoped for. We also spent most of the morning waiting for a status on the repair and for the repair to happen. We realize that something like that is out of anyone’s control but when you are paying a premium price we were hoping it could have been corrected sooner so Sunday could have continued the family reunion. To say the least we were disappointed and it was quite a let down.

All I can say is that 24 people stayed here. Everyone loved it. Kids especially. The history around Harpers Ferry is amazing. White water rafting, harpers ferry ghost tour was great.it was a great area. And host kept me informed.
