⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Reanna - May
"If this house is available then look NO FURTHER and snag it while you can! Tony and Christine are BEYOND super hosts and this rental was the best experience I’ve had in all my years of short tern rentals.
HOUSE - such a charming old house with character and the original floors and look with all the modern touches. Kitchens well appointed and great to cook in. Beautifully decorated and a wonderful mix of old charm with upgrades. Beds are super comfortable and linens were nice. Gorgeous fenced in yard that was huge and great for dogs! House layout affords a lot of privacy if traveling in groups or couples.
Neighborhood - LOVE LOVE LOVE - really safe and walkable. Great coffee and breakfast places close by and lots of dinner options and bars too. We got up every morning and walked and were OBSESSED with the neighborhood. All of the neighbors are super friendly. Go out and explore, you will love it too!"

Thank you again!"
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Joly - 5/22
"What a fun place to stay, you can rent the entire home, (and upper and lower unit or just one.) I had a couple of family members stay for a few nights while I rented this house for two weeks. It was super clean, very comfortable beds, seriously comfortable. It's charming too. It's a hop skip and a jump from Bardstown Road if you want a little more action.
But best of all is Anthony the host. He was johnny on the spot if I needed anything which was not much. He truly made my stay easier and more relaxing. I hope to return."
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Kevin T – 6/22
"We rented the entire house for 10 days! Grandparents located on the first floor, parents on the second and grandchildren/3 children ages 13, 16 & 18 on the third floor. Was a great arraignment regarding space for all ages. Kitchens were gas and very nice to use and clean. 2nd floor kitchen was extra nice with Italian range, hood and dishwasher (super quiet). Color palette in house was well done. Bathrooms were upgraded and had great showers. Our experience with Tony was very good and responsive, we truly enjoyed our time there and in a great area to walk to a gray coffee shop on the corner and restaurants in the area."

Tony, our host, was just amazing! Super friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. Our group of 12 stayed at his gorgeous house and honestly, leaving was tough. The area is so charming and peaceful. Loved how it's just the right distance from Bardstown Rd - close enough to easily stroll to shops, eateries, and bars, but far enough to skip the noise. The house having two kitchens was a total win for us. It was great to have the option to either keep things private or open up the space for everyone to mingle. Inside we loved the decor and how clean it was. And the backyard? Absolutely lovely. We had the best time making fires in the smokeless fire pit and soaking up that sweet Louisville summer weather. Plus, Safai coffee being just a few steps from the backyard was a major perk. Oh, and let's not forget the dedicated parking in the back - so convenient. We're already planning our next stay!
Super easy to get in the house. Easy and convenient parking. The house is comfortable and clean. Everything we needed to cook was available and the nearby restaurants are a short walk away. ?
The Bonnycastle was perfect for our group of 8 adults (4 couples) to enjoy catching up and hang out. The location was ideal to walk to restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. Noche, just a couple blocks south on Bardstown Road was our favorite! We enjoyed the fire pit each night and loved the second floor kitchen and bourbon tasting room. Plenty of parking, safe neighborhood, kind neighbors and no issues being a bit noisy in the evening. Great time! Thank you!
Bourbon friends out having a great time. Perfect place for the 9 of us. Well kept, lots of space and prime location. Fixed any issues immediately. Thank you!
We rented the entire house for 10 days! Grandparents located on the first floor, parents on the second and grandchildren/3 children ages 13, 16 & 18 on the third floor. Was a great arraignment regarding space for all ages. Kitchens were gas and very nice to use and clean. 2 nd floor kitchen was extra nice with Italian range, hood and dishwasher (super quiet). Our experience with Tony was very good and responsive, we truly enjoyed our time there and in a great area to walk to a gray coffee shop on the corner and restaurants in the area.
Big, beautiful home in a fun, lively neighborhood of Louisville. We loved the Victorian charm of the house with all the modern amenities. Since it's sometimes rented out as two apartments, it has two kitchens and two living rooms, but that suited us (two families with two young girls) just fine. Each of our girls had their own rooms on the third floor, one couple on the second floor, and the other on the first. We loved the huge yard, outdoor seating, and the girls loved the tree in the back. Parking was easy and ample. The rooms were well appointed and the beds comfortable. The house came with linens and towels and plenty of soap/shampoo for our use. Nest thermostats allowed for climate control. The upstairs unit had a dishwasher and the washer/dryer in it. Check in and check out was a breeze. Now onto the neighborhood: really walkable, great restaurants and shops. We loved having a great coffee shop (Safai) right on the corner. Food wise, we enjoyed The Eagle (14 min walk), Mark's Feed Store (6 min walk), Superchefs (esp with kids, 3 min walk). We also tried the pizza at Impellizzeri's (Tony's rec) - delicious! and the Mexican food at Sol Aztecas for takeout. We took the girls to Purrfect Day Cat Cafe (4 min walk), just a couple of blocks away - they loved getting a chance to play with the cats. The adults in our crew also had a few great drinks at Darling's cocktail bar (5 min walk). We found the folks at Old Town Liquors (5 mins) to be very knowledgeable and helpful and they had a fantastic selection. A Kroger nearby makes groceries easy too. Oh, and we had fun perusing the record and used book shops on Bardstown. We loved the proximity to area attractions. Most of the downtown things were a quick 12-15 drive, so we were able to get to the Slugger Museum, the Muhammad Ali Center, the Science Center, and the downtown bourbon spots without issue. Churchill Downs & Cave Hill Cemetery were also just a quick drive away. We had considered staying at a hotel downtown, but I have to say, we are very glad that we ended up in the Bonnycastle/Deer Park area instead. We were able to take quick trips downtown and then come back to home base for a more walkable, neighborhood-y feel. Tony was *very* responsive to our questions the whole time, and sought to make sure we had a great stay at every turn. We would definitely stay at Tony's place again if we ever found ourselves back in the Louisville area.
