Richmond, Virginia
Need that home away from home feel for a few days/weeks, get comfortable here at The Black Pot. Small brick rancher set up with three bedrooms. There is a spacious living room, a nice size kitchen, an outdoor space within a fenced in back yard and an allotted space outside for smokers. Great place for people working a short-term contract, traveling the east coast and need a pit stop or even to just be close to the city for a getaway vacation. Two miles from Swim RVA and within 15 to 30 minutes from anything you need or want such as food, entertainment, hospitals, downtown Richmond and shopping.
When we walked in the house smelled musty as if it hadn’t been cleaned.l for a while. It was hot and there were no directions about turning on the window units. We had to plug one in. The property owner could have cooled it down for us and would have made a better impression. The ceiling fan in the kitchen felt like it would fall down when pulling the cord to turn on the light. The tub in the bathroom was totally stained with a brown stain. No one would have wanted to step in it no matter if it had been bleached clean. I’m not sure how properties are vetted but this was not the quality that I was expecting and had experienced with VRBO before. I will be slow to try again.
Pleasant stay. Pleasant host..
We went down to visit with our son who just moved to the area. House was in a perfect location and close to everything that we needed. Loved the fenced in yard for the dogs. Would definitely recommend staying here if you need a place in Richmond.
This house was great for a quick, overnight stay in Richmond. Plenty of places to eat nearby.
This was such a sweet little stay for my family and I in Richmond. The owner is very quick to respond to questions and very accommodating. No crazy lengthy check out processes like other VRBOs we've had in the past. Easy check in, even easier check out. Spacious kitchen and back yard.
clean nice property
I stayed here with my husband and mother-in-law when we visited family in Richmond. It was such a lovely stay! The house was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for the visit. We would definitely visit again!
Acceptable, nice back yard
We went to Richmond to visit friends who live near this property. It was easy to get to their house and to Cary Street and Maymont for a bit of fun and food. It was a great weekend and the hosts made us feel welcome and comfortable. We have already spoken of staying here again in the future.
Our party was three adults, ages 51 - 73. This little home was a relaxing, comfortable stop for the night. Much more relaxing and quiet than a hotel room. Propery was clean and comfortable. Just what we needed for an overnight stop.
Everything and more very convenient to amenities and very clean.. would definitely recommend
We enjoyed our one-night stay - the house was just what we needed while passing through Richmond. The house is older and is nothing fancy but has all the essentials and was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt secure. We appreciated it was a dog-friendly house. There was a small hiccup when we were locked out of the house accidentally and when we called the owner we realized the phone number in the listing was not a valid number. Everything worked out in the end though and we were able to get back into the house.
It was great. Very accommodating for our dog. He LOVED the fence yard. Very comfortable house. Great Taco truck right around the corner. Very easy to get to the State park and to downtown.
This home embraces what Richmond is all about. We had everything we needed and the owner is delightful and friendly. Highly recommend staying here and is close to so many historical places and restaurants.
The most comfortable and clean home one could imagine. The Host is responsive to anything you might need. Highly recommended staying here when in Richmond, you will not be disappointed. Wonderful place!
Immaculate. I prefer whole house rentals to hotel rooms when traveling with my 9 month old Mini Schnauzer, Baby. I like having outdoor space for the puppy to play. Now that I have retired, I travel a bit and must say that this is THE cleanest property I have ever stayed in. I stayed in a half million dollar lake house last week that was so dirty I slept on the recliner. If u r looking for modern amenities, this isnt the place for you. But if you are looking for a nice quiet clean spot to relax in, I highly recommend The Blue Door and Delores.
The owner was very responsive to our calls and the house was clean. We sent her some suggestions because the tv was hard to use and when we first let our dog out back in the fenced yard the gates were open. Luckily our dog is older n we were able to close n lock them before she got out. If she takes n uses our suggestions it will definitely be 5 stars. The location is nice n I liked the ramp out front for access.
The house was clean, modest, and comfortable. The landlord contacted me the day before with checkin information. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful in south Richmond. It was enjoyable.
The property was very clean and the host very responsive to any questions. There is an extra room which worked well for WFH. It’s also very conveniently located for anything we wanted to do in the area. We will be back.
Nice
