Quick weekend stay as we needed to be in the area for a soccer tournament. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Our family of 4 stayed for three nights and the stay was perfect. The cottage is small but just as advertised and we didn’t need anything larger. Our kids are 5 and 7 and the bunk bed was just the right size for small children. The place was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. It’s a 30 second walk across the street and in between the ocean front properties to the beach where we’d go in the morning and afternoon just to let the kids splash in the water and dig in the sand. Hammonasset beach is just 10 min away so that’s where we spent our days (the Clinton town beach is only for residents). The street is quiet, barely any cars drive by, so it’s a great street to go for walks on. You’d see lots of people walking, running, etc. in the morning and at the end of the day.

Highly recommend this home for your stay. Everything was clean and the beach access is unmatched. The owner was quick to respond with questions we had and even let us check in 90 minutes early. Bring your own beach towels as the property does not supply those.

The overall impression of this location is very nice. The outside of the house is worn in a beachy way; the front porch is comfortable. Things we loved: 1. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding seemed new and luxe, as advertised. 2. The house interior looks exactly like the images in the listing, down to the pink flowers on the table. 3. Easy access to the beach across the street. 4. Nice kitchen appliances. 5. The kitchen, dining, and living areas feel spacious enough for four people. Things that did not work well for us. 1. The floors are slanted or uneven. 2. Perhaps related, the oven rattles with steps in the kitchen. 3. The queen bed room is very tight on space. The dresser was not usable for us. I can see this in the pictures now, but I didn’t appreciate how tight it would be. 4. The entire house is very petite. The tops of the windows are at about 5 feet. The loft is maybe 4 feet high. All the furniture is low. For example, the bottom bunk rests flat on the floor. We are a tall family, and this was not comfortable for us. The house is decorated in a way that is proportional to its size, which is why this wasn’t obvious to me from the listing. 5. The bathroom spaces are tighter than I perceived from the photos, and the back door opens into the bathroom. Perhaps a fold-down shelf attached to the side of the sink could create some counter space. These items would have felt less negative if they hadn't been surprises. Still, the house is quite lovely.

The house is newly renovated and had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. Very nice neighborhood with beach access right across the street. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and relaxing in the early evening. Quick drive to grocery stores/restaurants/and etc.
