The Beach House Port Douglas

We loved the open plan layout and pool, great location near 4 mile beach. So tropical and quiet, very relaxing and a few minutes drive to the main street.

The whole family enjoyed the pool and outdoor area. The house was just right for a relaxing break.

Close to beach for walks and town. And easy access for drives to Daintree. Beds could do with updating not the most comfortable. But everthing else was great.

Wonderful home and amazing outodoor area. The pool was to die for! We spent so much time outside in this beautiful tropical area. I posted photos to friends and they thought I was in a resort. All areas were as depicted and communication with the host was fantastic. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars was the mattresses were too firm for us, otherwise everything else was 5 stars!

A fabulous house for a family holiday. Ideal location close to beach, park & cafe and very quiet. Pool is great with lovely setting, although quite deep for most of it. House isn't as modern as photos but still a great place for a relaxing break with everything we needed. Host very pleasant.

Had a great stay in Port Douglas. The house is very spacious and allows a family to spread out or come together. Beach access is wothin walking distance. do

Location was good and neighbourhood quiet. While the beds were comfortable and outdoor space and pool were nice, there were many issues with the property which made our stay not as good as we had expected. Brian was good with communications but there seemed a lack of upkeep and general cleanliness with athe property. Many appliances were suboptimal from the microwave only working in 15 sec bursts, fridge freezing some of our food, cooktop not completely functional , and the washing machine did not work at all. The TV is not large at all as described on the listing but worked OK. The property needs a good overhaul to bring it up to scratch. Only 2 tea bags found in a cupboard for 4 of us for a week and no shampoo and conditioner (we assumed as with other homes there would be some) and only 4 rolls of toilet paper. Some electrical issues were the result of heavy rain it seems. Despite the issues, Brian was being helpful and we enjoyed our time in Cairns overall.

We love this house- it is out of the hustle and bustle but close to everything.

Very comfortable home for family vacation...great pool. Owner , Brian, was very responsive to the couple of requests we had. We had a very restful 10 days. Thanks Brian.
