Stayed Sep 1, 2018For a cycling holiday, Le Croisic is a great choice - French drivers are considerate and there are a great selection of routes available. The property is very well situated, a 30 minute walk from town and right on the coast for scenery and walks. The property itself is very comfortable and the owners responses prompt and courteous. Highly recommended.

Stayed Jul 21, 2018Having booked this, I contacted the owner, who was very friendly helpful and accommodating. Aside from the view, which is stunning, this house is bright, airy and clean. We were met at the property and given an introduction (in French, so if you don't speak any, the instructions are written down, and google translate works a treat). Also a lovely bottle of wine and some local sweets. The house is in an ideal location, not only to the beach, but 5-10 mins walk to lovely port town of Croisic, where you will find everything you need. Bars, restaurants and shops. The wonderful coastal walk around the peninsula which you can also cycle (on the road) but it is very safe, even my 6 year old daughter who has just learned to cycle without stabilisers did it regularly. The house itself has 3 bedrooms, says will sleep 8, but for comfort I would say 6, just from a living point of view. the bedrooms are downstairs, which means they remain nice and cool, even when the weather gets very hot. The large garden and decked area accessed from downstairs) at the back is great for children, and Bbq, and the outside shower (which has hot water!) is a godsend, when coming back from the beach with very sandy children. The kitchen is very well equipped which suited us, as we don't like to eat out every night. There is a large dining table and a couch in the open plan living area. If i was to find one fault, I would have liked another couch / somewhere to lounge indoors, when it was either too cold or wet to be outside. Though we spent most of our evenings at home enjoying a glass of wine on the terrace at the front overlooking the sea, watching spectacular sunsets. There is a garage and space to park a car off the road. As the owner is quite open about this house has no tv or wifi. This did not worry us as neither my husband or children speak French, so tv would have been useless, and with no roaming charges we both had 4G reception on our phones (different networks) which was fine for all we needed. We did bring a portable dvd for the children, though they watched very little, and were better behaved children with no screens. We brought games and there were some there, and we played cards. If I were to go back to the area I would definitely stay here.

Stayed Jun 17, 2017It` s a very beautiful house, very bright inside. The kitchen is homelike equipped. The `close-to-nature-TV` ( = the entrance door) is smashing! We explored the area on our mountain bikes, stopped for each feasable beach for a swim and returning to the house, felt at home for 2 weeks. Shopping on the local markets and cooking delicious sea food made our stay perfect. Christiane & Thomas

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My extended family stayed in this house over the Christmas holidays. The house is absolutely fabulous - spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you can think of. The view of the ocean is stunning and the location is convenient for the port (which has some gorgeous shops and a large choice of restaurants). Valerie welcomed us to the house and explained all we needed to know. Anne, the owner, is so welcoming you feel like you are going to stay with a friend rather than renting a holiday home. The information Anne supplied us with before the trip was invaluable. I would highly recommend this property. We will definitely return to this property when we next visit Le Croisic.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Three generations of us all enjoyed this lovely spacious, light filled house. Here is our typical day: Two shower rooms saves us time getting up. Fresh juice and warm croissants for breakfast then a short bicycle ride along the coast road to the rugged granite cliffs of the Cote Sauvage and back. The tide is out and Oliver (4) wants to go down and roam the rocks and pools again. We return with yet another bucket of shells and interesting objects, luckily he is persuaded that the little crabs prefer to stay and wait for the tide to come back in. We change our shoes and jump in the car, today we will explore the medieval walled city of Guerande with its narrow streets and specialist shops, lunch at a creperie is on the cards, it will be salted butter caramel for me again! Dropping the car back at the house, we walk into Le Croisic, its less than 10 minutes to pick up some monk fish from one of the two fish shops on the harbour. The well equipped kitchen in the house and fish fresh off the boats makes it a joy to cook and happily, its my turn. We eat on the sunny terrace and stay there, opening a second bottle of wine as the sun sinks of the horizon in a blaze of fiery colour. We had a fabulous time, thank you Anne for providing such a remarkable, well appointed house and for your patience and perfect English when we booked.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a wonderful 2 weeks stay at this lovely house in Le Croisic. It has a gorgeous view of the ocean. Moreover, it is clean and fully equipped - thoroughly redecorated - offering plenty of space even for a family with kids. The neighboring coastline - La Cote Sauvage - is magical, and there are plenty of things to see and visit in the area, besides taking endless walks on the beach. The landlady is very caring and friendly, and the atmosphere in the house is extremely pleasant. We have enjoyed every moment and will come back here for sure!
